This phone number belongs to a public utility named CallerID4U, Inc., which is run by Paul Maduno and Luis Martinez.  They have entered into revenue sharing agreements with telemarketers who make illegal unsolicited telephone calls.  They profit directly from these outbound unsolicited telephone calls.

This appears to be a clear violation of a number of laws, including 16 C.F.R. §310.3(b) of the Federal Telemarketing Sales Rule.

we keep getting calls from this number

I not only get calls from this number, but at least two others.  It is always the same about some utility billing.  I don't listen that long.  I got three of these calls already.  

The Do Not Call List is useless.  It doesn't stop anything.  Cablevision says they can only block anonymous calls, but since these numbers show up on Caller ID, they are not considered anonymous.   The only numbers they can block are Toll Free numbers.  Otherwise, these b*****ds are free to call us.

This Election Day, I'll vote for any politician, who promises to end these calls.  Make that, I'll campaing for them.

Receied same call and also did what you did with Cablevision.  But, they call again with different telephone numbers.  Very annoying!

This is a SCAM #.  If you answer they know it is a working number.  There are many different calls going around.  FTC said billions.  Do not call list doesnt matter.  Keep a pad of all numbers yoiu do not recognize.  When they call dial their number back but FIRST block your call ID by *67.  Then they offer an opt out which is just to know you are there.  Enter another SCAM number and they will be calling each other.  Every one I get I call back with five other numbers just to jam them.

I get calls from this number (and others) that never leave messages. Normally I never call these numbers back, but this time I decided to. The message I received was "you have reached the automated opt-out number for 253-753-9041. The call was then terminated. Now this number is blocked, so I never even hear it ring. So much for the disturbances.

Numerous calls daily from recording wanting to lower utility bills.  Very irritating.

Block the caller...Dummies

Picked up the phone and the recorded message said I was eligible for discounts as a JCP&L (my electric company customer).  THey wanted me to speak to a representative to find out what discounts I'm eligible for ... come up on the ID as Electricity

They call several times/day.  I'm sure it is a power company telemarketer as several different ones have been incessantly calling the past few weeks.  Caller ID just says "Out of Area."

Got a recording stating they could save me money on my electric bill.

I too get calls from this number, and, as usual, no messages are ever left. I decided to call it back from an unregistered prepaid mobile phone. The phone was paid for in cash, and the cards to add time were all paid for in cash. I got the following prerecorded message "you have reached the opt out line for 253-753-9041. The call was then terminated. This phone number has just earned an all expenses paid trip to the land where unwanted calls (and the phone numbers made from them) for for eternity: Block City

Caller ID shows "Electricity".  Another scam company. They've apparently switched from mortgages to credit cards and now claiming to be an electric company.   Reported.

Called twice within the last hour. No message. Extremely annoying.

ANOTHER freaking lower your electric call. These numbers are out of control. 4-5 times a day is RIDICULOUS.

Caller ID says "Electricity."  I never answer any calls I do not recognize or want to talk to.  I have a phone for my convenience, not theirs.  I want a phone that allows me to block calls.  Is there such a thing?

Caller ID simply showed "Electricity".  When I called this number on a (safe) cell phone, a recorded message indicated that it was an "opt-out" number with no mention of the company's name.  

Of course, in order to "opt out", you are asked to confirm your telephone number which these folks can then sell as a valid telephone number to other telemarketers.

I am on the "Do Not Call" list and will report this as a violation.  Granted, this is frustrating after awhile but perhaps the sheer volume of reported violations will prompt someone to take action.  One can only hope.

Also, my telephone service (Cablevision) allows me to block specific numbers which I've found effective until the spammers try with a different number.

wtf ... I opted out and now the calls start again?  I need to report these a***oles to someone, this has to end.

The calls are from a company called Constellation, an Exelon company.

They assured me that the calls would stop and it was quiet this weekend, but they started up this morning.  It was a slightly different number, but it was still them.  The numbers I get my calls from are;  215-554-6985; 206-445-6113; 425-320-5045; 215-554-6988; 215-297-4151; 253-753-9042; 253-753-9041.  Mind you, that I currently live in Philadelphia, hence the 215 exchanges.

How is that information helpful? How is it helpful to say someone called,  I didn't answer it, they didn't leave a message?

Repeated calls on caller ID. When answer get recorded message about discount on Com Ed bill and choice of button to push for further information. CALL IS NOT FROM COM ED. Do not push any buttons. Hang up and report to Com Ed.
