The number has changed now.  253 753 2010 and 425 905 1983.  Just got a call from them today same modus operandi.  I ask them for information instead and they quickly hung up.  I called again from another number same thing.  How they got my information and work number was beyond me.

Began receiving threatening calls in mid-November from a "gentleman" claiming I was wanted for a fraud case involving some payday loan outfit for a loan of which I had no knowledge. He knew my address, email address, phone number, and the name of my financial institution. He then rattled off an account number and asked if that was my account - it wasn't. I told him I wanted to consult with my financial institution and an attorney, and would get back with him. The calls stopped until about 2 weeks ago. Then, a call came from "Officer Paul Williams, of the United Nations Legal Department," who knew the first three digits and the last four of my Social Security number. The call came in from 916-395-0000, out of Sacramento, CA. He instructed me to call his call-back number (626-789-8392), near San Julian & E 8th St, Los Angeles, CA. Today (1/10/2011), a few calls came in from "Kevin Jackson," from the "Federal Crimes Unit." The first was on my cell phone, the second through my work phone, and the third was a voice mail instructing me to call his callback number (253-785-0208) out of the Tacoma, Washington, area. He, like the other two claimed an "investigation team and the cops would come to catch me," the last at my "residing address. The first two callers referred to "downloading my case to the courthouse" if I did not comply with their directions. The first caller stated an out-of-court settlement would only cost $300, but if the case went "to the courthouse," it would cost over $5000, and I would go to prison.

I have received several calls from this person in the last few months  but cannot understand him. Today he called from 1-878-877-1411 but wants me to return the call to this 253-785-0208. A little strange for a true lagit company at best. He did know the last 4 of my SS# and my address & employer.  He said on the voice mail to call back in 3 hrs of I'd be in court on Monday(which is impossible since I haven't been servered) but he also had the name of 2 of my friends I used as a referance on a loan. He also said they would notify my employer and I'd loss my job.  I am  sure it's a scam but not crazy about them have that much info. If lagit company then VERY unprofessional for breaking the law making illegal threats and hiring someone who can't even speak English well enough to tell what he's calling about.

Pretty much the same story as above. I filed a complaint with the U.S. Attorney General and my local police, but the same guy keeps calling. When the police dept called the number back, they did not pick up. The police officer told me it sounded like a common scam. We traced one of the numbers he used as it is different each time the guy calls and the country code on my caller ID was in South America somewhere.

A man with a very American sounding fake name and a very foreign accent professes to be from Cybercrime unit and will picking me up any time for a 3 hour interrogation!  I will not return the call and they apparently asked to be put to my voice-mail at my office.  I wish I had talked to them to tell them not to call again, but I'm not sure it would help.

Justin Thomas from Cybercrime unit called and left a message that I call them back immediately to stop any legal action so much noise in the background how could it possibly be from an attorney.  They had my old address so anything being sent there would be returned.  However having my employer did alarm me until I found this site.  I chose not to call them back the called twice back to back and only left a message the second time.  The call came in from 503-328-0104 From California.
