I used to receive calls from this number every Sunday with no message left.  Then the calls stopped for a while and yesterday they started again.  I wish UWT would identify who is doing this and stop it - apparently they are accessing student records.

I have received a call from this number twice so far. One last month, during the evening. I answered and no one responded, so I hung up. My boyfriend called back, and told me it was the UW directory. It happened again this month, but this time around 12P on a Sunday. I didn't answer that time, and no v-mail was left. Rather strange. If it was legit, a v-mail have been left and they wouldn't be calling during strange hours of the day/week.

I feel like some student from UWT is calling out randomly to people. I feel teased, especially since I've applied to jobs at UW...and thinking maybe this is it.

I used to get calls by this number quite frequently.  After finding these posts online, I decided to ignore the calls thinking it was a temporary glitch.  However, I just got another call.  I am wondering if anyone has complained to UWT about it?  Shouldn't there be an opt-out if it is a survey like mentioned in the posting by CH Tacoma (23 May 2010) above?

I have numerous calls from this number throughout the week and at various times but never pick up and never leave a message.
If it is important and legitimate business they will leave message. Who knows drug addict may call randomly.

I go to UW Tacoma and they hgave been doing tests for thier emergency alert system lately so it might be related to that? I have gotten a couple calls from them lately but haven't answered. i just called it back and it disconnects me when I push 0 to talk to the campus operator. Strange.

I get call on my cell phone from this number about once a month for several months now. I have always screen it out. Since it appears to be junk call, I am going to block it out completely.

I answered yesterday, 5/22/10, and it was a lengthy survey on political opinions ranging from happiness with federal govt, state govt, views on immigration, etc.

I have received a call from this number every Sunday afternoon for two months and never answering in time. They don't leave a message so I have no idea what they want. When I call back they are closed. WEEEIRD...

University of Washington Tacoma, I did not pick up and they did not leave a message.

I thought UW had a 206 area code, what are they doing with a 253?

This is the "outgoing router" number for the university of Washington, if you get a call from an office or something this is the number you get.
