I think there's a connection between this alarm system scam and the "Rachel from Card Services" interest rate scam. Sometimes I get 10 calls a day from each one on different days and sometimes I get basically alternating calls from these two scammers on the same day. I think it is the same scammer but using a different scam. They want your social security number and credit card number.

Received a call, they didn't even leave a message; has to be an ID Theft Scam! Blacklist the number.

Calls repeatedly all day long. Finally answered and the phone and the guy said he was from Microsoft and that a very malicious virus has been downloaded onto my computer without my knowledge and he needed information to fix it. I told him that I was aware that he was a scammer and not to call me again. He said that I didn't believe him then I should hang up on him--so I did.

Got a call from this number while taking a leak, no message, hung up, just going to add it to the log that I
started keeping and deluge my congeressman with a complaint after all he's not doing  anything else before
I fire his butt and put him in the unemployed line he might get off his butt and give the do not call list some

Home security scam - tied up my answering machine with their blather.   Too many numbers to block... just ignore, but the message is particularly annoying. Don't bother pressing the number to be taken off their list, it just lets them know they have a live number with someone on the end of it. They are particularly targeting senior citizens.

Got a call today 4-3-13 at 4 p.m. I never answer calls I do not recognize. I have a Digitone Call Blocker, so after the rings stop and I get the advice of you good people, I just push Block twice and they are gone forever. Next time they call I do not hear a ring. They hear one ring and then get disconnected. Gotta love it! LOL

I actually picked up because my husband was sleeping. No one was there.

Just got call from 256-529-4030 3/18/2013 @ 9:50 AM PDT. Didn't answer, no message left. Caller ID showed "Huntsville, Alabama" number. We use MagicJack so I added to block list on third party plug-in called "MagicFeaturesPlugin". I keep adding telemarketer numbers to block list. Works well so if you are a MJ user, may want to consider this if you are bothered by telemarketer calls. This call was first one in over a week that got through....  Still annoying, of course, but at least manageable!

In addition, they send information on how to file a lawsuit. Recently, they shut down five of these scams.

They called and didn?t leave a message. Almost sounded like a fax.

caller ID said HOME SECURITY. We get unsolicited calls every day; after checking the ID, I just reach over and turn on the answering machine. Of course, they didn't leave a message, just the sound of dead air. This is a new one though. Probably wanted money like all the others. Another family member told one of the callers that she needed her money more than they do; they hung up real quick.
