Hello - I just received a call from this number (caller ID says from Fort Wayne IN) an I am in MASS.
I did answered it, it was a recording that started our saying "Thank you for your recent visit to our website" and we have a $100 voucher from walmart, target, etc. for you. You can stay on the line to claim it - OR press a number to be removed - That is what I did so hopefully I will be removed.

Stop the harassing phone calls
Linda 2012-04-30 19:01:53 Unknown
I did that too, but they keep calling. I've been told that "press 1" is a scam to confirm that it's a valid number.

i have received call from this number since 6am....i hate lazy people..
Linda 2012-04-20 19:57:21 Unknown
Jorge - That would be good advice if the people being called actually had any IRS debt. If you read the comments you would see that folks don't owe any money but are being called anyway, including me. If you want to post snarky comments meant to insult peoples' intelligence, why don't you go entertain yourself elsewhere - perhaps the IRS website...

The FBI shows up on your doorstep; they don't send random emails. Delete the email ASAP, it's just a phishing attempt.

Just got a call from this #, I didn't answer & they didn't leave a message. I called back & pressed 1...it worked. Thank you Sam for that little tip. :)

You should NEVER call the numbers back, and never ask to be removed from their list by pressing "1" (or whatever).
Doing so only verifies that your number is "live". Once confirmed that your number is live, it will be sold off to additional sleezebag companies as a "gold list"
if it's not a number you recognize, DONT ANSWER AND TAKE NO ACTION.

"Hi this is Sarah and I would like to talk to you about your tax debt...... " I hung up.
John 2011-12-07 21:48:15 Telemarketer
They called saying they could lower or eliminate my tax debt, and for me to call leaving my name, number and full taxes owed.

Called my cell phone. I live in California. It talked about Obama cutting tax debt, and want me to press dial key # one. Definitely spam!

Caller ID said Fort Wayne, IN. Automated call talks about lowering your back tax debt.
donovan 2011-12-06 16:19:02 Telemarketer
I didn't recognize the number and didn't answer figuring 'If someone knows me they'll leave a message'. The robot left a message about the Tax Negotiation Center ready to settle the outstanding IRS debt in anywhere from three to six months. Please press "1" to talk to one of our representatives, or press "2" to be removed from our call list.....more like 'press a number to acknowledge this is a working number so we can sell it to another group of icky people who will in turn call you'.
utahhawhaw 2011-12-06 02:24:01 Unknown
If you talk too them bet they want you social security number. I have caller rejection which works fine. But there are so many numbers and not enough space. wish their was a way too reverse their call back to them and it would blow up all their phones~~~~~~~~~~

I get email daily from someone in Nigeria or some country saying they have Millions of $$$$ and they need help getting it out of the country. & believe it of not some people actually believe it and open a bank acct and come up with front money. That scam has been going on for years!
Whenever you use your email addy online remember it's worth money as places sell them for up to a dollar each as they know your interests from where you used it.
Like sending $20.00 to The Humane Society, they make another Hundred off you by selling your home address to every animal group in the world as you're an Animal lover. Then you start getting mail asking for donations from Save The Monkeys in Peru to help the maltreatment of Chickens being held in tiny cages.

They call and hang up so i called bak and it offers to take me off the list by hitting 1 dang liars still call daily.
Jenn 2011-12-05 17:51:07 Unknown
Frankly, why does anyone these days answer ANY number they don't recognize?
I always assume, and have not been wrong so far, that the caller is either a scammer or else some peddler of some product I don't want to buy. If it's a truly important caller, they'll leave a message.
