The phone caller behind unavailable was or is " 1" Rauner for gov. in IL. They called Sunday evening to join in a "town meeting" BS, the answering machine recorded it. He WAS getting my vote until I found it was him calling me over 100 x it seems these past months, possible a scammer telemarketer that he hired? He should have checked on these folks before he proceeded.......... IDIOTS

Some stupid political survey.  ID = "Wisconsin Call" but the survey asks about IL republican candidates.

Received several calls as well. Have house phone setup so after 4 rings, goes to fax machine off printer. Does a great job getting these people to stop calling when they hear that high pitched screech in their ears once the fax kicks in.

Got a call from 262-684-4307 a couple of minutes ago.  Caller ID shows "unknown name."  

I keep a list of the numbers I blocked and this number was not in that list.
Phone only rang once so the call was likely intercepted by the free Nomorobo service I am using.

Just got a call, let it go to voice mail, no message. I called it back and it said it was used to conduct a political survey and if I wanted to be removed to leave a message. I only said, "Remove me from your list. (phone number)."  and then I hung up.

Came up on Caller ID: East Troy, Wi 262-684-4307

recording say they were from a public opinion research firm. I just hug up the phone

Who gives them the right? Other politicians, of course!  Ask your candidates if they will support tougher Do Not Call laws that apply even to them.

You can by a regular cordless phone that comes with a Call Block Feature. Some block up to 250 numbers. It's just a feature of the phone as part of the Caller ID stuff. No extra cost or machine, is my point, just the new phone if you are in the market for one.

I agree...all these people do is use "political" or "Charity" to market and phish for live numbers to sell. I even saw an ad on TV selling fake phone cards to create any bogus caller ID name and number you wanted, hey it's "fun".  Last I knew these were illegal.  Too many pick up the phone just to "see" who it is and that's all they need from you.

Got a call at 4:11 CT. Said "Wisconsin call"   I am getting at least nine calls a day from various Politcal Whoevers which say Iowa call, Michigan call, etc. etc. In checking this site and others I see they are all political based.  I have blocked at least 40 numbers in the last month, I kid you not.  Including lots of scam calls with IDs like "!!!!!!" and spoofs of my phone number only one digit off or a 7 instead of a 1.  I don't know who or what is behind this new wave of spam calls but it seems to have exploded again.

I'd love to know why Political calls and charities get a pass on this robo and spam calling. Who gives them the right to turn into legal harassers?

Easy... Illinois has created a climate that is somewhere between unfriendly and hostile to business.  Couple that with Wisconsin working to attract businesses/people to their state from IL (and MN/MI).

Some goofball survey about the Illinois governor's race, I think.  They "talked" to my answering machine for about 10 minutes.  Very choppy recorded voice.  Mostly unintelligible.

The political class who write the laws naturally work in exceptions for themselves.

When I get a weird call, I just look it up here and put it on my phone service's blacklist.

Trusting the government to handle privacy matters somehow doesn't strike me as something that people should have expected to end well.

Political my a**. Just wanted to confirm working number which you did when you called back. You can expect more calls from them and whoever they sell your number to. Sorry to say but you may want to Invest in a blocking device. Amazon lists several. Good luck.

Yes very annoying this number calling my cell phone when it is on the do not call list.   I do not have unlimited minutes so have to pay if I answer.  They always call right at dinner time to be even more annoying.

Showed up in my logs Dec 19 also, but my defenses kept my phone from ringing. Looks like somebody got a new number based on the short history.
