Similar to what others are saying.  This is a craigslist scammer looking to steal money from you.  He asks for personal information and then will send a fake certified check and ask for reimbursement back from you because the check is more money than your craigslist item.  Send your money and his check bounces a couple weeks later and you are out your money.

Got the same scam text message after listing on Craig's List. They wanted to buy my item, offered to send a cashier's check...they wanted my name and home address. Suspicious because we were selling a large electronic item and they had never seen it and never asked one question about the item!
We asked them to just call us without giving any personal details. They never answered or called. So glad I found out that this phone number (267)908-3167 is associated with many many scams on several scam websites!

This person responded to my ad on Craigslist and offered to buy the item with a cashier's check. Mailed the check and it took a while to get here so they just sent another one. I received both checks. One was from Connecticut and the other was from Hawaii even though they were mailed from Virginia. They wanted me to deposit the check and send a portion of the money to a "shipper". Definitely a scam. Don't send them any money!
