Same text here... "Hi am Linda I would love to order some MaryKay Products, Get back to me at ( psm0012@hotmail.com) I will be waiting for your email so i can let you know what i need Asap! Thanks so much"  The typos/missed words are as in the message... Going to block it from my phone.

I got the same text and she gave me an email psm0012@hotmail.com   ....said I didn't feel comfortable...knew it was a scam!

I received the same text & am a Mary Kay Consutant as well. This is the second 'scammer' message I received and have only been a consultant for a year. Does this happen a lot?

I received a text from this number stating "Hi I am Linda.  I would like to order some Mary Kay products.  Get back to me at psm0012@hotmail.com.  I will be waiting for your email so I can let you know what I need.  ASAP!  Thanks so much."  I emailed her and she said she wanted 5 of a discontinued item which made me suspicious and said she couldn't use a credit card.  I told my husband about this interaction.  He googled the email address and found out it was a scam.  Keep on the lookout ladies.  This scam is still going strong.

I got a message from Linda today 2 days ago and I have a text from this number 323388 3950 and she gave me her home address and I called nobody answered, she just texted me now with the 843 474 1091.I told her that I don't process orders from out of state.

How funny is this. My MK director sent out an email to everyone about fraudulent texts. And I just got one AGAIN from THIS SAME NUMBER. and Again from Linda, but with a dif email address.

Thanks for the heads up ladies. I got an identical text. My first thought was, why wouldn't you just order through my site? So I googled the email address and found this page. I just replied, you have been reported. Done. Thanks again! :)

I am also a MK Consultant on MS/AL Gulf Coast who received a text from "Linda" via phone # 269-330-0608 ...
"Hi, am Linda. I would love to order some MaryKay products. Get back to me at (psm0012@hotmail.com). I will be waiting for your email so I can let you know what I need ASAP!"  

I emailed her and said that I received the text and told her I would be happy to help her. I gave her my website address and also asked how she heard about me. I'm sure when she saw that question, she decided to not reply!

I'm glad I decided to google the email address as that's how I found this page and the warning of it being a SCAM!

I got this message last night.  I've been getting this same message in one form or another every month since I started my Mary Kay website.  Has MK done anything to stop this?  NO!  I stopped reporting it after 6 months because it's been happening to me for almost 3 years.  It is a SCAM.  If they really wanted to order something, they can place it thru your website.  How else are they finding out you sell Mary Kay? What I can tell you is this is to spread the word to your Directors and other consultants that these people are out there and that if they send you texts asking for you to send them your email, phone numbers, home addresses and other things to be very careful and not fall for it, no matter what they say.  If they are really serious about ordering, tell them to order it from your website.  It will shoot you an email with their order.  The number I got today was 269-339-0608 and the woman said her name was Linda.  Stay safe!

I got the same msg from this number with the name linda. These people are CRAZY and I cant believe they would say they are deaf. I don't get some people. So don't fall for this scam. I also got a msg from 636-344-0476 saying her name was Hannah and she was deaf to and really wanted to place a 600 dollar order and wanted me to send her some extra cash if she had some left over...

Wow, same number text me.    Email address was something like psm0012@hotmail.com.  She  said she was deaf and other consultants weren't helpful when they found out she was deaf. I wasn't suspicious until she said she'd send me a certified check and was going to entrust me with her money and send the rest back the rest for her daughters wedding. before reading this I had already told her I'd take the check to my bank and once it cleared I'd send her the change. She said it would come by US mail. So we'll see, but what in the world kind of scam would she benefit if someone waited til bank cleared check. So far she's not sent me her address. And I sure won't order Mary Kay til I have her address and money in hand. Doubt I hear from her since I emailed her I'd have to wait until check cleared.

I am a MK consultant and received the same text. Two rexts exactly the same from "Linda" from two different numbers.

I just received the same text.  This week this is the 4th that I have received from different numbers.

Same thing for me.... she wanted to send a certified check for over the amount of the product and then have me send the balance of the money to her daughter for wedding arrangements. Then two days later I received another message from a different phone number but it was identical to the first one (it was an 831 number). I called her out on it too.

I received a call from this number also requesting product ASAP.  Thank you all for the updates

I am also a MKay Consultant and received the same text from linda_james001@hotmail.com on June 18th, I thought seemed kind of fishy, so did not answer it as never know if then they get more of my info when I answer these scams...

Anyway checked this site and was glad to find others were suspicious also and have turned it into the MKay Corporate's.  I wonder if MKay ever has looks into these and if they have any luck finding and stopping this activity... I hope so!

I am a MaryKay Consultant and my roommate is also, we both got identical text messages from this number that said "I would love to order some MaryKay products...get back to me at (linda_james001@hotmail.com) I will be waiting for you email so I can let you know what I need Asap!!!!

I replied "no thank you, my roommate got the same exact message today. You have ready been reported and mayrkay sent out a "warning" to mk consultants re: your info and messaging"

This person is trying to pull some scam....
