Wow, just a while ago, my roommate got that call. She luckily turned them down cause they weren't offering her a job in her major. lol. I was mad cause I needed a job and was gonna try calling back. Good thing I didn't.

Received a phone call from Heather.
Did some research on  "Westmac" "West Michigan Advanced Concepts" and Symmetry Direct
Apparently they are calling people asking if they are interested in full or part time employment. The scam is that they don't have "employment." The "interview" is in fact a brainwashing session to try and get you out of several hundred dollars to sell their products.
I know. I was stupid enough to go to my "interview." I won't be making that mistake again.


BTW- this Steve guy that keeps posting how great the products are- he probably works there. There are several in the office that are brainwashed and bogus. Ignore him. He apparently doesn't understand that it's illegal to call people regarding employment when there is none. Michigan has laws against this, and I filed a complaint with the State Attorney General's office.

Heather called me too. I went in to see her. She is hot! I liked what I saw. I don't see that scam in it. The company offers products that people pay for just like anyother company. Someone tell me how its a scam. Explain with detail & fact. Thank you.

I got a call from Brady at West Michigan Advance Concepts about some full or part time positions at 10:13am at 269-381-8381.  Different phone number, same name and I'm sure the same scam I didn't call him back.

I got a call from a Heather connected to West Michigan Advanced Concepts.
Being how it was a vague title and I had no memory of ever applying there I was suspious. I couldn't find them online and I doubt my old school, who does still put resumes in for me from time to time, would send to these people. It was medical trade school, I've never been to WMU looks like they are branching out. Oh and the Caller was a 'Heather'. Wanting to know if I was still looking for job opportunities or some such. I looked for them online no luck, I looked on the Better Business Site and I did get a hit but I do not know if these are the same people. They COULD be different, just fyi:

I got the call this afternoon at 12. The woman's name was Heather and I couldn't understand what she was saying. I ended up telling her I was not interested. The company she works for does not show up on google maps, (because they are still new in the area)-She said. However, I looked up the number and found this.

I just got the same phone call! And I think you're right that we're being called due to our connection to WMU. Whoever called me, probably "heather" (she talked so fast i was completely lost) said someone put my name and number on their list as a possible person who may need a job... ummm.... Since when does someone call asking to hire a person. Anyways, she asked what my major was and asked if I knew a certain professor, which I actually did. I'm a little scared that I almost set up an "interview." What's the deal with this scam?

I fell for it.  I'm so aggravated with myself I could scream !

Looks like it is related to phone calls from 269-342-5770 as everything is the same except for the name on the caller id.

Called my parents' thursday or friday from 269-381-4780.  "heather higgins" said she had full and part time work available, etc.  whatever.  I haven't turned in a job application or resume in over 7 years now.  I'm employed.  Used to be a WMU student so it appears from reading other posts on here that someone, somehow, got ahold of WMU phone list.  I won't be calling them back unless they call my parents again in which case I'm going to have some fun with them.
