The caller hung up on my answering machine.

telephoned me to say I had won a cruise

They called, I didn't answer. No message left. I called the number and they hung up on me. Is it possible to fake a number and actually be calling from a different number?

rec'd call on Nov.27 from 1-269-768-2212.  did not answer nor did i call it back.  probably someone stealing identities and such.  been there done that.  i'm also on the DNC list.

Got a call but didn't bother calling back, googles the # to see where it was from and came across this page

I just got the same phone call only I let it go to voicemail. I heard something about "getting my finance rate lowered" and to "press 1 to speak to a live human being". My nubmer is also on the DNC list.

these f****rs called me 3 times between 4am and 7am.

They called me twice so far today.  I did not pick up either time, and a blank message was left.

Bunch of pricks. They called a few months ago offering 6.9% APR, and they hung up when I asked them to remove me from the calling list. I guess they never took me off the list either...

I actually don't think there is any calling list per say. I think the dialer just randomly dials numbers until it gets a hit -- and is programmed to hang up on answering machines and such. If this isn't illegal, there should definitely be a law against this.

call from 011 002697682212 twice today. picked up second call, no person there, then they hung up.

answered they hung up once the number was +269 7682212 with a plus sign which suggests they dailing via computer overseas using a MI number then 2 hours latter I got second time they call was 1 (269) 768-2212 MI, USA on caller ID

I got a phone call from this number 011 00 269 768 2212 a minute ago.
I couldn't really understand as the lady was talking very fast. It was something about my credit card.

Just called me asking if I would like to "lower my rate to 6.9%" and said they were "cardmember services"

I asked them "what company is this?" and was promptly hung up on.  Sounds like they are just trying to get personal info from people and are hanging up on anyone that isn't going to be gullable enough.

The exact same thing just happened to me right now. And I'm told the number has been cancelled as well.

You have to press "1" to get a live human being.

Asked CSR to remove me from list. In response, the CSR just hung up on me.  They will call again, I am sure.

My cell number is on the national DNC list, so they are breaking the law.
