269-768-2303 - I have received numerous calls from this number but they never leave a message.  I answered the call today and a recorded message said the warranty was about to run out on my vehicle and to press one if I wanted to extend the warranty.  I pressed one and a man answered the phone.  When I asked which of my cars he was calling about he said "Oh, you have more than one car" and when I said yes and that we had recently purchased a new car he hung up on me.  When I tried to call the number back a recorded message picks up and says to be removed from their calling list to enter my phone number.

Just called my office phone and asked for "the lady of the house".  I responded that this is a business line and he said "ok, I will make a note of that" and hung up.  Googled and found out all of this information.  I can't wait until he calls my home number!!  Thanks for this information.  It was very educational

Caller ID shows W SADDLE 269-768-2303.  I answer the business phone for an architectural firm.  The caller was asking for "Darrel".  I said who?  And he says, "this is the Fraternal Order of Police, you aren't in any trouble, but we are going to record this call."  I stopped him and said "Im sorry but I do not aprove that you record any call."  He said he respected my wishes, said thank you and hung up.  That was odd.  He wanted to talk to Darrel, then was happy to continue the call with me, as long as it was recorded???  Who are these people?  I doubt that anybody representing a police department would hang up or not give an explanation of their call.  Suspicious to me.

Somewhere along the line, all of you believed the hype that we created for you, then you sat their and watched Mitch Gold and everyone else go to prison. But you brain surgeons thought we were going to let you keep going. Not only are we going to end you but we are going to try and get you some equal justice.

Hey snow, do you know that the people who are donating to the FOP are paying for you to sit there and try to minipulate the general population. Why dont you try telling the truth for once you your pathitic fundraiser life. The truth is, you want these people to think you are trying to help cops but really you just need another shot and a six pack. Or maybe you want some 1980's miami vice blow. You fake mafia want to be. Not one of you unethical pieces of garbage would last 5 minutes in a real crime family.

So tell me now you bunch of fake cops calling these people and misrepresenting who you are and what you do. Pitch legal or go home permanently, it is that simple and it is not open for debate.

Others have tried to beat us in the past and no one has even come close, so give it your best try, much much better then you have tried and failed.

We are bullet proof because we tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. Coincidentally, you should probably get use to hearing that phrase and "you get one call and you tried to pitch someone from jail"

So when are you all going to start using this phone number again, I told you we have everyone of your phone numbers you are calling from, we are tracking all of your fundraisers already, DO NOT let them misrepresent your mission, not even one little bit, because the people who post to the boards may not know who Mitch Gold is but I guarantee we do, and we know what you are all doing.

Our new program is going to revolutionize Badge Fraud investigation. We have access to every one of you and what you are saying. See you have to really make someone mad to get them to call the Attorney General, but someone who is barely mad at all will complain here just because they missed your call and wanted to know who you were with, or because God forbid you actually pitched these people. and because of that, every one of you belong to us now. HAHAHA and their is nothing you can do about it. We are far better then you at this, so do not even try to fight back, because you cant. you have been set up but some very creative people. Learn to live with it and learn to live within the law, if any of you even know what the law is.

Give it up, we have check matted all of yu in one shot, and yea, we are that good.

You cant trust what the FOP tells you about its own fraudulent practices.

Some day soon these people will be answering for what they have done for the past 30 years and the billions of dollar that has been raised and squandered by the continous use of so called professional fundraisers.

When these people call, you should get an air horn and keep it by your phone and blast it, but remember dont put it right into the phone, the guy has to be able to hear the charges against him when he goes to court for fraud.

Dont worry folk, the fraud is about to come to a screeching halt as soon as they relize who we are and what we are about to do to their so called non profit

They have been doing this same thing for 30 years, ever since Mitch Gold found out how to get around the law, he took in 27 million and went to prison for 8 year for doing it, Joe Shambaugh was picked up in August of last year for doing it and is facing 22 federal felony counts, But these clowns think they can still rob the public and use the very techniques that many states have told these people not to use.

When these people call, it is called badge fraud, we are currently tracking about 1200 phone number they use to scam people.  The FOP, the Officer Down Foundation, The Police Protective Fund, Phil Leconte, David Deirks, David Fair, June Mellon. What a bunch of has been illegal fundraisers. There is a new day coming. I promise you that much.

Sometimes these people tell you they need bullet proff vests forthe officer, what a crock, when is the last time you saw a cop with out one. These people raise millions using Mitch Golds techniques, and then laugh in your face, the courts face that told them to stop. California during "Operation False Charity"  last year told them again, Missouri got a 450,000 judgement from them for committing fraud in that state. FOP Officer down foundation, police protective fund, it does not matter, they are all the same, they lie to you to get you to donate.

Some people are trying to protect other people like this program, www.badgefraud.org

This is a total scam, 90% of your money gets eaten up by the professional fundraiser, then they take half a million in management expenses for 3 members of 1 family. These people are taking money raised in the name of officers killed in the line of duty and are using it to fund million dollar houses and bentleys. Look up Civic Development Group is you want to see some of the riches these people aquire on the backs of dead cops. Its disgusting.

Mitch Gold knows all about the sales techniques they are using on you, they are unethical at best, and outright fraud at worst, not one single peopson that calls you from these companies is a cop, but they all say it all day long, this is so and so with the nashville police or the montgomery county sheriff. They sau things like dont worry, your not in trouble or anything when you know your not, they are trying to intimidate you and get you out of your comfort zone so they can move in for the kill on your wallet. They divert your attention with a great sounding program while they pick your pocket while you are in the ether of the pitch.

Dont forget if you get a call, get as much info as possible and post it to every site like 800notes so you can help to catch these people, your neighbors will love you, we promise. and call your local cops and sheriff and media, they especially hate these people because it is their kids they are taking the money from.

Never give over the phone, the guy on the other end is about 90% fraud 10% real program. Just enough to get you to give them unrestricted funds so they can spend it on diners at ruth chris steak house and booze. The fop is a club. The Officer Down Foundation is a scam. Similar, but the FOP is legal but I still would not give them a dime. I might buy a gift or two for the christams with cops or cops for kids, but I would give the toy, not the money. Plus I would feel better since I made it personal for the kid, cash is never personal.

Now we are monitoring this phone number too, look like a new one.

They also have a bunch of numbers under police protective fund.

Dont forget to report this scam to your local police and media, they dont like this kind of stuff. These people are using fraudulent techniques and I dont think they can stop on their own. The courts in several states have not been able to stop them. I bet we can, and we can quick if you call your local police, sheriff and media.

It's a scam alright.  They get rude if you don't pledge, we've told them we don't make donations like this over they phone and they try to argue with you.  They've called my sister-in-law and told her she pledged but never sent the money and argued with her about that.  Typical scammers who get abusive when trying to get what they want (your $$)

Many other ways (besideds our TAX DOLLARS) to contribute to the state government than to fall prey to this crap

269-768-2303 Is not a scam, they are working on getting donations and sell tickets to events that help raise money for your local FOP lodge.

I keep getting these calls and I inquired as to why they were calling.  They said that they were trying to sell tickets to a fundraiser game that was being held the next month.  I knew the game existed and I knew when it was happening because I was a member of the FOP.  The call was legitimate.

I also inquired at work with some other members who are active with the FOP and they advised that they do in fact raise money for our events as described by the caller.

Every year I get the calls and they are relentless, but it is for a good cause not a scam.

A Florida man has been charged with mail fraud and wire fraud in connection with a so-called telephone cramming scheme, which was designed to place charges on consumers? telephone bills for collect calls that were not made.

According to the indictment, from April 2003 to December 2005, Willoughby Farr, 46, of West Palm Beach, Florida, used three West Palm Beach companies ? Nationwide Connections Inc., Access One Communications Inc. and Connect One Communications Inc.?   to defraud consumers.

Through these companies, Farr, who was in jail during the time of the phone cramming scheme, allegedly arranged for local telephone companies to falsely bill consumers for collect calls.

Because the charges typically appeared on the last page of consumers? telephone bills, many paid the charges. The indictment charges Farr with six counts of mail fraud and two counts of wire fraud. Each count carries a maximum statutory term of 20 years in prison, a possible fine and restitution.

Its a Scam do not answer or press any numbers.  They get your name and phone number from googles, whitepages. and others.  Most of the time it is prisoners in Jackson trying to use there code then your number to get you to answer then your phone is charged for the calls they make.  To be safe just dont answer any call you dont reconize.  If its lagit they will leave a message.

Police DO NOT solicit money this way.

The crooks at the call center keep the money, police get a somewhere between nothing and a few pennies for every buck "contributed".

This is a SCAM and an embarrassment to real law enforcement, as any police officer will tell you.

States Warn Against Dubious Charities
Attorneys General warn citizens about professional solicitors

December 9, 2009

Consumers have to walk something of a tightrope this time of year. Holidays are always an expensive time, yet many want to support charities and worthwhile causes. But the last thing you want to do is have your contribution line the pockets of the solicitor.
In Oregon, Attorney General John Kroger unveiled a list of Oregon's 20 Worst Charities and offered tips to consumers on how to donate wisely.
"In the middle of a recession, it is more important than ever that generous Oregonians make charitable contributions to organizations that help veterans and others who are in need," Kroger said. "It is critical, however, that people donate wisely. Although many charities do great work, some are little more than scams with good-sounding names but that do little to actually help the people they claim to support."
State law requires charities to file periodic financial reports with the Oregon Department of Justice disclosing how much money the organization raised and how the funds were spent. The Department's Charitable Activities Section has identified 20 organizations (see attached) that spent more than 75 percent of the donations they collected on administrative costs and professional fundraising.
While guidelines issued by the Better Business Bureau (BBB) suggest that charitable organizations should spend at least 65 percent of their funds on charitable programs, every charity on the Department of Justice's list devoted less than 25 percent of their expenditures on charitable program activities.
One organization near the top of the list, Shiloh International Ministries, solicits donations to provide medical necessities and other support to needy children, veterans, and homeless persons. According to the most recent financial filings, the California-based nonprofit spent an average of $1,023,215 per year, 96.35 percent of which went to management and fundraising.
Kentucky concerns
Unscrupulous charity solicitations are not just confined to one area of the country. With double-digit unemployment rates in Kentucky, for example, more Kentucky families are in need of a helping hand this holiday season.
Kentucky Attorney General Jack Conway says people who give to a charity should give wisely. Unfortunately, he says, there are unscrupulous or even fraudulent charities that prey on the generosity of Kentuckians.
"Every dollar donated to a reputable charity can make a difference in the life of someone who may be struggling to put food on the table or clothe a child," Conway said. "Irresponsible or fraudulent charities not only take advantage of the kindness of hard-working Kentuckians, they deprive those who need our help. Before you decide whether a charity deserves your donation, gather as much information as possible to make sure the charity is not a scam and that your donation reaches someone in need."
Both Kroger and Conway offer these tips for wise holiday giving:
? Donate to charities you know and trust.
? Be cautious of sound-alike charities and solicitors unable to answer questions.
? Always ask what percentage of your dollar goes to the cause.
? Don't be pressured into making a donation.
? Ask if the charity or solicitor is registered with the Office of the Attorney General.
