this number when dialed back is no longer in service. Called once today and once a few days ago.

This number has 2 caller ID's when they call.  SPOC and Call Center,MI.
They are the state police trying to raise money.  They don't take no for an answer as they continue to call every time you ask them not to or tell them no you don't want to give them any money.
They call twice a day, about evey other day whether you've already refused them or not.  Very harrassing callers.  Sure won't ever give to them again.  They abuse the Do Not Call charity loophole with non-stop calls.

Just received this call also. Never leaft a message. Sounds like a fraud scam raising money for policemen. Never do over the phone. If you want to donate to a policemans association, call your local office and ask them how to donate. All your money will go to them than, not to a fund raiser out of Michigan

I also receive several calls a week from this number.  I comes up as Call Center Michigan, even though I also live in Iowa.  Apparently the Do Not Call doesnt work to well.

I Just received a call from this number. Man identified himself as being from the State Police Officers Council in Iowa. They are raising money for Child Identification kits. Kind of fishy since the phone number is out of Michigan. Told him I don't respond to phone requests for money. Anyone know if this is a scam or legit?

Someone called from this number, stating that he was from the State Police Officers Council in Iowa, although the number was from Michigan. He made a point of talking about the fact that "our" Iowa weather was finally warming up. I asked where he was working out of and he said Des Moines, but pronounced it wrong. I asked twice if he was a paid telemarketer, and he said, "We're a nonprofit organization" and "this is a nonprofit fundraiser" but wouldn't come out and say he wasn't a telemarketer. He said the proceeds would go toward a child identification program in Iowa. He said if I pledged they would follow up via mail over the next three weeks because "there are a lot of scams out there." After talking to him, though, I'm convinced that this is one of them. I opted not to give, and he didn't press any further.

Waited for my answering machine to answer and then they talked about the show Nip Tuck and how some guy bit a womans nipple off and she had to go in and have it repaired.  To me if your calling for donations you shouldn't be talking like that.

Well I got a call from this number the SPOC and they waited for my answering machine to come on then some guy was on the phone talking about the show Nip Tuck on FX and how some guy bit this ladies nipple off and she was going in to have it repaired.  I don't care who they are police or whoever if you have someone calling to raise money for some organization they should be more careful about what they are saying on the phone so as not to leave something like that on a machine.

I just received a call from this number. It also showed the id as SPOC.
A recorded msg. said to please wait for the next available operator. I waited a few seconds and then hung up.

Received a call from 269-768-2304. Switchboard shows call comes from Bellevue, MI. I reside in Iowa and according to Ask.com, the initials stand for State Police Officers Council. They call us every year wanting donations.I don't answer the calls anymore, as like many of you, we are on the Do not call Registry. Just not sure why call is out of Michigan.

The call came when no one was at home.  Left no message on answering machine.  We are registered on the Do Not Call List.
