There is someone on the other line!! I can hear them! I DON'T have anyone in the military & this stupid number calls my phone ALL the time!! Crazy hours!! I started just pushing numbers thinking that if it was automated it would keep me out... The person on other end just pushed them back... Someones playing on the phone!!

I just got a call from this number. My husband answered it and nobody answered. I read all the previous comments saying this is when someone is overseas, but my husband is home and he wont deploy again for several more months. Who is this calling?

I keep getting the number left on my phone.Its always the same when u call it, if this is an emerency call 911.

obviously this is a number that comes up when a soldier calls his family from a military based phone from overseas

I got a call from this number and called back. I got an automated system saying it was Fort Campbell so I pressed zero to talk to an operator. I told the op that I received a call from this number and since it was Fort Campbell I wanted to know why. She asked me if I knew anyone there. I said my brother but he's in Afghanistan. She said they do calls for soldiers overseas so it was probably him calling me.

I got a call from this number at 4:00 am the other day. Caller did not leave a message.

This is fort campbells phone number when a soldier calls from over seas uusing their company phone it will come up as this number

Mr. or Ms. Interesting - ANON is right!  I called Fort Campbell tonight and they informed me that they are not sure why that number is calling people -because yes they called my family TONIGHT.  They assured me that if there is something wrong with a love one there will be an officer contacting you; NOT leave a message or a number but they must contact the family.  I gave the number (270 798-2151) to the MP's and they did not have a clue as to why someone would leave a number and that's it.

Ok to ANON..first off..if you dont hear anything..its called a delay..so  give it a few seconds..second off..cell phones over there have not so good service...becareful who you complain to

I have been getting these calls for weeks on end.  No one says anything and all you hear is a ringing.  I know it is NOT my husband calling me from Afghanistan as 1) he is not dumb enough to call someone and not say anything and 2) he ALWAYS calls me cell as he has been instructed to do.  When I call the number back, I get the Ft. Campbell Directory Assistance line.  When I press "0" for the operator, I get an automated message saying the number is out of service.  

I live and work here at this post and its getting rediculous.  I will be filing a complaint with the proper authorities as this is becoming annoying.

It's Ft Campbell - When soldiers call from overseas it gets routed back to the US via one of three army bases. That is one of them.
