I am constantly getting calls by numbers like these.  Complained many times as I am on the do not call list but they keep calling

they keep calling and when the answering machine kicks in, the call ends.

I just received this call, I did not answer as I have caller ID. Possibly a debt collecter using my phone concerning my son's debt.

Comes up "unavailable" on caller ID

this number calls a lot-it is something about lowering interest rates.  I do have called ID but it doesn't seem to block this strange phone number

I just did the reverse phone number look-up and it came across as an invalid number.  I ran this twice.

Does anybody else getting calls from this phone number?

I got a call from this number today (273-000-2989) and they said they could save me 6% on my credit cards.  I told the man I didn't owe on any credit cards and he said his files showed I did.  I ask him who I was suppose to owe money and he hung up.

Got a call from this company.  Pressed 9 just to see what happens.  Got Rachael and asked her what company she represents.  There was an immediate click.  Next time I get a call I am going to press 9 again.  When a human comes on the phone they are going to be greeted with a blast from my little alarm device called a "Screecher."  I know it's illegal to try to break their ear drums that way, but what are they going to do about it?  Drag me into court and their whole telemarketing scheme will be aired publicly once and for all, which I'm sure they don't want.  Plus, where would they get 12 people for the jury who had never been bothered by their ilk?  If I need a defense fund I'll come back here and ask.  Hint.  I discovered that if you wait maybe 15 minutes before calling computerized telemarketers back you may actually get a live person.  I have gotten two live people recently and asked them to remove my name from their list.  They said they would.  Haven't gotten a call from either since.  Maybe it actually worked.

I never pick up the phone, but I'm always curious as to whether this call could be a tracking number from you computer IP address to another. You think?

I have never answered one of these calls. But I think next time I will just to have some "fun".

Got an automated phone call from this number and as others have said its some sort of promise in lowering interest rates. Im on the do not call list, what good is being on it when I still get calls like this,.

There are laws such as the Telephone Consumer Protect Act that allows for $500 per incident if you ask to be taken off the list and they do not honor this.  If you have any credit cards, call up your company and there are abuse/fraud departments tha will deal with this.

I am trying to get to the bottom of this!  There are laws and I am tired of them calling.  Do they think that everyone is that stupid to do this?  Next time they call, I will play with them and give them invalid numbers.  I keep getting calls from 628-000-4862 also.

273 is an invalid area code and 000 is an invalid exchange/prefix. So  you can't call it back because it's not a genuine telephone number, it's spoofed caller id or a VOIP call that can't be returned.

They call repeatedly. Called today just a few minutes ago. I pressed 9 to talk to a person and request removal from list. Was told "get a better hobby than picking up the phone," then they hung up on me. We are also on national do not call list.

This phone number is bogas! # keeps display as "Unavailable" What pure cowards! Looks like someone could be caught in a fraud! Make yourself know. By the way, I have Privacy Manager on my
phone system! Life is not what it use to be !!!!

It's card holder services.  A scam credit card service.  They should all die.  These are the people that call centers are working for.  So when you have one of these move into your town, dont get a warm fuzzy feeling from them providing jobs.  They are just tools of the scammers

I didn't answer this call, the 000 in the middle seems odd. I have answered in the past and they want to help with my credit cards.  I have no credit cards, but I like the idea of playing their stupid game right back as someone suggested.
Kind of like when my brother got the aluminum siding people all excited and when they came out were shocked to find his home was brick.
He said, "You didn't ask if my house was brick".  Pretty simple, and kind of fun.

I found an answer to these calls, any calls you don't want.  Buy a phone that has call block on it, works like a charm.  They call, phone rings once, and then they get a busy signal!!

Please report this number to the FTC!!.  People, it doesnt matter if your on the no call list, these scammers want your credit card numbers!!  At the end of the call, press 9 and tell them the gig it up and their phone number is all over the internet with complaints!!  Why the FBI or 60 Minutes doesnt investigate these scammers is beyond me.

called today and left no message.caller id says unknown caller. i have received calls from this number before. its from someone telling me they can lower the interest on my credit card but won't tell me which card when i ask them. sick of calls like this and i'm also on the do not call list. i don't think the do not call list means anything any more!!!

Getting calls from this company- Rachel with Cardholder services- and have had enough. On the do not call list and even told them to remove my # the last time the called only to get another call today. When called back today she hung up on me when I started to say something in regards to calling to complain. Documenting this and if it continues will file a formal complaint as tired of getting calls from them.

On the national and no call list and don't care for these no msg left calls.

I received a call from unknown - phone # 273-000-2989 telling me to press 9 to lower my credit card debt.
When I asked who was calling, and that I am on the no call list, the young woman said to me "Are you really that bored?" "don't you have some soap opera's to watch?" and hung up on me. Oh, how I wish I knew who was calling!

These HARASSING CALLS must be stopped somehow.  
Sure wish they could be stopped and FINED HEAVILY!!  
On few calls that I've answered on the cell and landline (both of which are on the DO NOT CALL LIST) appear to be telemarketers.  Calls that I haven't answered, they never leave messages.
