At 2:30PM this wimp or telemarketer called my house and hung up after 2 rings. If I get another call I will block out 273-000-4762.  The extremes that people/companies go to to hide their identities. Unreal!

It doesn't matter if you are on the do not call list, because these are just scum people who don't pay attention to the rules the rest of society live by. Can you imagine doing business with people like this?? LOL

definitely some sort of Card Services scam. I picked up and said hello repeatedly and got a call center rep (I work in offshore-call center management so I definitely recognized the environment straight away). They asked a lot of questions and when I told them not to call - that I wasn't interested and that I am on the do not call list, they simply hung up on me.

I wish I knew more so I could report this company - it's rediculous to get calls like this. If you are not so savvy you could end up getting scammed.

Unfortunately, ignoring these turkeys does not make them go away. My guess is that they're using a free-outgoing-calls setup so it costs them nothing to have their robot randomly dial numbers until it finds a sucker.

Yes, they're scammers. Yes, if you're on the do-not-call list it's illegal for them to even contact you. No, they don't give a hoot.

You can try reporting it to the various scam/spam taskforces. But given that they're sending an invalid caller ID, there isn't much that can be done without a court order.

(BTW, that ability to fake caller ID is, unfortunately, designed into the system. It was intended for company switchboards, which might have multiple outgoing lines but which would want all returned calls to come to their operator or phone tree or whatever. But it wasn't adequately secured/restricted.)

Verizon's new "digital voice" service does let users block a few numbers. I've dropped this one onto my block list. That'll last only until they're forced to pick another, but in the meantime it can't hurt.

This is not a Credit Card Service Company. They will not give you their company name because they do not have one. They want your credit card information to commit fraud. Do not answer their calls and they will stop calling. If you do not answer or talk to them, they cannot sucker you in and they will move on.

This is the 3rd or 4th time that I received a call from the robot...this time I pressed 9. When I asked what company they were calling from they would only say VISA or MC and were very rude, insisted they told me where they were calling from...."Do you have a VISA or MC?" I asked are you a company I have an account with and was told we already told you where we are calling from. The person interrupted frequently, talked fast and finally got tired of my questions and told me I was being rude and didn't want to lower my interest rate...then hung up.

I just got a call from April at Card Services. When I asked her to send me the lower rate credit card offer in the mail, she hung up. They are probably trying to get your personal information like SSN #, so beware!

An automated call from Card Services, infamous telemarketer and spammer. I pressed "9" key and when a representative replied, I shouted my head off, hoping his ear drum would break.  This is my sweet revenge.  You all should try it.

Identified Chris from Credit Card Services.
Lots of other callers in the background, obviously a call center far far away.
Offered to lower the interest rate on my credit card.
Became nasty when I tried to ask to be removed from their Email list, wouldn't let me talk. Had to hang up.
