I also got a call 274-790-0190. The name given to me was Brian DeCosta. The accent was hardly that of a person a Romance language back ground. Definitely of Asian sub continent.

The call from 274 7900 190.
Did not answer,but believe it is the same as a while ago.
That time was told I had a disturbance on my pc. Did not do anything.
suspect it is the same number as last time.
The person I spoke with was not an american. His accent was very much like a Russian speaking English. Have some experience about that.

This US phone number keeps calling me and today I answered.
At the other end it was someone that do not speak very good English, probably from India or surrounding countries and it was very hard to understand even the name of the company.
He wanted to warn about some type of virus that mainly infect Windows users and he wanted me to check something on my computer. I am in the IT industry and of course I find this kind of telemarketing to be very strange and of course I said "no" to perform this test.
I bet this is the same thing as receiving an email or get a virus warning in the browser that states the computer is infected and that one can get a "free" clean of the computer.
That is, if you follow the instructions then you will get a virus of worse and therefore I recommend that no one follows this kind of instructions over phone, or in a browser, or email!
To follow these kind of instructions would be just as stupid as to believe a total stranger that you have never met before and that says something like ?you got cancer, take this pill, it will cure you instantly?.

Same thing happened to me, from 274-790-0213. We live in Europe too and the call was at 10:38 am Western European time. Annoying.

I keep getting calls from variations of a US number 274 790 XXXX - have not tried calling back in case someone can intercept line. Nobody there when I answer, but seems like it's always morning UK time.
