junk call.  I just hung up.

Do what I do. I keep a very loud, shrill whistle by my phone. After answering, I wait to get a live person and blast that whistle as loud and long as I can. It doesn't stop the calls but it does give me a certain sense of satisfaction.

Left a garbled recorded message something about "last chance to qualify for stimulus funding" and "press one to apply" is I think what the female voice said. Phoned my business at about 6.45pm Wednesday 4 Sept. 2013.

I'm in Quebec city.   I have received this call today;  I never answer the call.

Some scam company

Got  call from this number...Some threatening message about a final warning about a financial stimulus on my credit card.  They have called before.  I am on no call list. How does one get rid of these unwanted annoyances once and for all?

J'ai répondu et il y avait un message électrnique et apr`s j'ai parler avec une pour savoir qui elle était, sa collège a pris la ligne.... je lui pose la meme question,.... avec plus de conviction et je lui dit que je n'ai pas de carte de crédit et elle ont racroché comme par magie. Ça pu!

Annoying call - unsolicited despite my number being listed to block adverts.  Automated call about credit card.  Repeat caller.  Very annoying.

I have received this call dozens of times and even answered to hear their automated message about how I need to act no to reduce my credit card interest before my next billing cycle. This time though, I actually pressed one to speak with someone. As soon as I asked what company they were calling from, the Asian lady hung up on me and of course the number is NIS when you call it back....DRIVES ME CRAZY! Apparently this national do not call list works very well :-|

Automated phone call requesting to enter 1 now to receive a lower interest rate on your credit card saying it was my last opportunity to do so.

Same thing for me, i'm from Québec... I did not answer and they don't leave message

Definatly a spammer --credit card--off shore--I asked them to hold while the call was traced by Bell Canada--Golly gee they disconnected.  :)

Received a call from this number.  I didn't pick up and they didn't leave a message.  I concur with the rest of you that this number is being spoofed in some sort of scam.  I hope the calls stop.

The phone rang just moments ago with this number and "unknown name" in the call display.  I did NOT pick up and they DIDN'T leave a message (qu'elle surprise!).  They aren't going to catch me!  If it's important (which it isn't) they would have left a message.

I just received I call from this number also... it is defiantly being used in some sort of scam.  When I answered the phone, there was dead air and then it started ringing!  I stayed on the line, and an oriental lady answered (with numerous phones ringing in the background), and said "hello, how are you".  I answered with "Who am I speaking with", and she hung up on me immediately.
Reporting this to my phone company now as I have been receiving a TON of phone calls lately with no one on the other end... just dead air.

I think its more likely this phone number is being spoofed.  Would someone who lives near Terrace, BC (mid-north-country on the edge of a National Park/native reserve territory along the 'Highway of Tears'; located close to the Alaskan border) have 'Unknown Name' appearing on my Call Display as calling me (a total stranger) in the Greater Toronto Area at what is this time zone's dinner hour?

I did answer and heard dead-air, so I assumed it was a robo-dialer being used by some of those scammers via computer over a VoIP line and so immediately hung up.

Poor fellow is probably wondering why all kinds of strange people are trying to call back HISs number, asking who he is and why he was calling  - when he likely wasn't calling at all.  More likely those Damn spammer/crooks spoofing the number from an off-shore telemarketing centre and robo-dialing again.  (Do a Search for 'CBC Marketplace, To Catch a Telemarketer' - an excellent expose.)
