I get these calls every day!!!!  I do not carry a balance and even if these were legit., I want them to stop!
When they called the other day, the notice on our TV said "scam"!!!  F.C.C., please do your job.

Goat a call on my cell phone instead of my home phone from a restricted number...offered to lower my credit card interest rate.  I asked her what company & she replied "card membership services"   I again asked what card & she replied they handle all Visa, Mastercard & Discover.  I asked for a number to call her back & she hung up.  Seems like a scam!

Foreign person wants to lower credit card that I do not have. Fourth call on this AND I am on the do no call list. Am angry!

I get a call from this number about twice a week.

Received a call from 279-000-2985 today and when answered there is a recording that there is an urgent message from my credit card company. It instructed me to press "9" to speak with a live agent. I pressed "9" and was connected with a person, who identified himself as Shawn Sampson, who asked me if I wanted to lower my current credit card balance. I asked him what company he was with he stated "Card Membership Services". I then asked which credit card company he was with and he stated that "they handle all cards that have a VISA/Mastercard logo at the bottom", he then asked did I have a balance larger that $5000. I asked him to specifically tell me which card he was calling about and then he hung up. I then attempted to call him back at 279-000-2985 and I kept getting a recording stating "We're sorry you call cannot be completed as dialed, please check the number and try again". I rechecked the number and called back numerous times. I kept on getting the same message. I will report this to the FCC and recommend that all who has had received the same call to report as well.

Some credit card interest lowering scam. Do not call does not seem to work for these people. I will report to fcc. I answered just so I could cuss them out but it was a recording that said to press 9. I did and some foreign person said something. I hung up after awhile, maybe they will have to pay ld charges.

I'm going to give these numbers to my son who is a lawyer in Nashville, Tn with a firm.  Bet he will go after these scum.  Also report it to the FCC just like the person above says he is.  Bet it will not do any good.  I haven't seen anything  the government can do for us or get it right.  They just want to take away from us and make it harder on older people and also the young people.

these numbers keep calling me at all hours 1279-000-4589 & 1-749-000-3589..they are idiots with nothing better to do than harass someone who is retired  and wants to be left alone.  Fixing to cancel my landline and get me a cheat cellphone.  Bet they can't call that number the moroons.

I got a caal from 279-000-2985, the did not leave massage, I am on do not call list (it don't work)

O have discovered that area code 279 is for Saint Vincent and the Grenadines in the Lesser Antilles Islands of the Caribbean Sea.  Phone calls originating from outside the U.S. are not subject to our No Call List laws. Also, anyone calling from there is 99.9% likely to be a scam artist. If you do business with them, you will most likely get ripped off. DON'T DO IT. Reject all calls from Area Code 279!!!

This is harrassement and frustration; if the call is answered and I stayed on the line to SPEAK TO A LIVE PERSON>..I asked WHAT info they had regarding my credit cards? (I DONT HAVE ANY)..when I said that I was placed on hold and they never returned to the line.  

If I dont answer then they leave the Mickey Mouse message saying to press whatever and ??? you cant press whatever when its a message and have it do anything.  WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THIS CALL?

Also THE DO NO CALL LIST obviously doesnt mean anything to criminal minds....truly cell phones like computers have only opened up a whole new venue for SCAMMERS AND crooks...

This needs to be dealt with. Have had several calls from this number.

I also have had several of these. Also the constant "enter your cell phone number" deal on line. I did and got socked with( 2)  $9.99 charges on my cell phone. Verizon was so good to instruct me on Premium texting". They even took the charge off my bill because I did not know what it was.  Most people never use this but that is what happens!!!

I've been getting these calls for quite some time now as well. They always hang up on me when I ask them to stop. As a former Marine, I'm seriously considering doing some research to locate these skidmarks and pay them a personal visit.

000 is an illegal exchange number. Spoofed calls should be treated as hostile. Buy a whistle or air horn and use it. God will forgive.

Legit telemarketers are required to use the DoNotCall Registry. Criminals have no such duty.

My 85-year old mother received a phone message from 272-000-2985 telling her it was urgent she return their call.  She wears a hearing aid and wasn't sure she heard them correctly.  She called me in a panic and asked if I could do a reverse look up.  Such a shame there are low-life scammers preying on the elderly.

I called the 2790002985 number back. An answering machine answered and it said, " You have reached the desk of Steve Moore, please leave your number and I'll get back with you as soon as possible. Thank you."  Who is Steve Moore and how did he get our numbers?  He upset my mother so I think I may set his number up a my own call list and have it dial his number once a minute for 30 days. You think he will get the messages?

I hate want these calls to stop!

They keep calling this number, and when I call back, just says, this verizon number has been disconnected
Caller ID says, name not found.

We have a useless govenment! What good does the do not call list do?

Just adding my name to the list, I generally ignore any number starting with "000" but it is a pain and at 4:19 in the evening.

They are getting a little better at caller ID. This one only comes up "Name Not Found" on mine, but the number still appears. Same nonsense, no message.
I've had a number of these "lower your credit" calls. All phony.

went to my voicemail and they hung up so i got to hear the sound of a click.

Call from this number.  When called back, response is "not a working number".  Again - what happened to the Do Not Call feature?  Had my number(s) on the list since the beginning, and continue to get harrassing calls almost daily.
