Like all of you Damon Marshall contacted me using 916-500-4945. Threatening me about a warrant and jail time for something I owed. So I called the California State Bar commission today and I am going to file a complaint to the California Bar and try to get this guy before he ruins the lives of people.

Hello, I would love to give these people what they deserve. I was taken for over a $1,000.00 back in February of this year. I filed a police report and even called the news media and they came out and did a story. These people need to be stopped and I have a good idea on how to do it. If you want to talk you can email me at laura.carnell@yahoo.com. we can exchange numbers then.
| Laura C. 2012-04-02 19:14:39 Unknown |
This guy has been at it for awhile it looks like. He has also used the name Damon Marshall out of San Francisco, Ca. I just saw all of you guys posts and thought I would let you all know. I called this new number and it is the exact same voice but he is now using the name Kevin Larks. I called this number and got a message machine and left him a not so nice message and told him that I knew that he had used the name Damon Marshall and told him to go F himself. I called my local news station and they did a news story on it. My best advice to you guys is to call your local news station and see if they will do a story on it. We need to stop these SOB's so that they can't do it to anyone else. Remember if we don't do anything then nothing gets done.

Got my call today from a guy named Kevin Lloyds stating he was from Dan Morgan law office and that he was an attorney and there was a warrant for my arrest. I do have pay day loans and called them all and thankfully they told me that this was a scam and to not give them any money, however I am pretty rattled right now. Do NOT call these people.
File a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission www.ftc.gov and call your credit bureaus to put a fraud alert on your credit reports.

Cant believe this! My sister called me crying on the phone from fear that she was going to be picked up by an ivestigation team out of San Rafeal, California and brought up on charges. She said she had recieved a voice mail from a man named Calvin Petterson who had all her personal information including her full social security number and place of employement, he gave her a number to call back. After calming her and listening to the voicemail I immediatly new it was a scam the man sounded as if he was calling from a cellphone, never stating what the legal charges being brought against her were, and never saying by what business also he stated that he was from a legal department and he sounded like he said F.B.I than changed it to Investigation legal department. My sister told me she had tried to call back but was fowarded to a voicemail. Googling the name Calvin Peterson and the number they called from and left to call back (415 2595028), this and many other sites for these people came up. I asked my sister if she had applied for any payday loan or money related things online and she said yes but never went through with it because her husband said it would be a bad idea. As soon I told her that a Damon Marshall would no doubt call her back and to tell them she contacted her local authorities and they should cease all contact with her and her employer by phone if they had any information they wanted to send her than do so by mail and she would foward it to the local authorities and her attorney. Guess who called her right after we hung up! These people need to be arrested and thrown under the jail. They sound middle Eastern and try extremely hard to hold an American accent.

Scam Related to Delinquent Payday Loans
Washington, D.C.
December 07, 2010 FBI National Press Office
(202) 324-3691
The Internet Crime Complaint Center has received many complaints from victims of payday loan telephone collection scams. Callers claim the victim is delinquent in a payday loan and must repay the loan to avoid legal consequences. The callers purport to be representatives of the FBI, Federal Legislative Department, various law firms, or other legitimate-sounding agencies. They claim to be collecting debts for companies such as United Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Net, and other Internet check-cashing services.
According to complaints received from the public, the callers have accurate data about victims, including Social Security numbers, dates of birth, addresses, employer information, bank account numbers, and the names and telephone numbers of relatives and friends. How the fraudsters obtained the personal information varies, but in some cases victims have reported they completed online applications for other loans or credit cards before the calls started.
The fraudsters relentlessly call the victim?s home, cell phone, and place of employment. They refuse to provide any details about the alleged payday loans and become abusive when questioned. The callers have threatened victims with legal actions, arrests, and, in some cases, physical violence if they do not pay. In many cases, the callers harass victims? relatives, friends, and employers.
Some fraudsters have instructed victims to fax a statement agreeing to pay a certain amount, on a specific date, via a pre-paid Visa card. The statement further declares the victim will never dispute the debt.
If you receive these calls, do not follow the caller?s instructions. Rather, you should:
?Notify your banking institutions.
?Contact the three major credit bureaus and request an alert be put on your file.
?Contact your local law enforcement agencies if you feel you are in immediate danger.
?File a complaint at www.IC3.gov.
Tips to avoid becoming a victim of this scam:
?Never give your Social Security number?or personal information of any kind?over the telephone or online unless you initiate the contact.
?Be suspicious of any e-mail with urgent requests for personal financial information. The e-mail may include upsetting or exciting but false statements to get you to react immediately.
?Avoid filling out forms in e-mail messages that request personal information.

| Bernie Kemp 2012-02-06 15:21:28 Debt Collector |
I received these same calls from this number. I don't understand how I received a loan from CAsh Advance when in fact I DIDN'T that I'm going to jail for something I suppose to be owe. According to my bank (I check to make sure all is well on that end) and they informed me as well that NOTHING has come to them from a loan company regarding any payment. I never received any loans from Cash Advance because I wasn't approved nor have I gotten any papers from them in the mail trying to collect money that's owe to them.
I have reported this to my local police department and STRONGLY encourage all to do the same as well. This crap MUST stop.
