This number belongs to Bob Long who lives off fraud.  He operates through company names such as RLC Houston, B&L Materials, and Robert Randall Long Corporation.  Bob lives in Tomball, Texas and targets manufacturing companies in the US and Canada with tales of working with large oil companies by offering thermal spray applications with his 'patented' carbide matrix.  'Robert Long Fraud'  Never pay a license fee up front.  Do your homework, and be smart.

He is n jail, and you would think the con artist spirit would die but it hasn't by any means. He even uses. Wheel chair now, says he's parAlyzed. liar !  This guy is pAthetic and taLks a great game

Got us for $ 9,600.00 too.  The thing is, they shipped us some weld wire.  we were supposed to build up some heads for EXXON Mobil of Canada, and rec'd a PO.  Asked questions and rec'd some in depth answers...  Very believable and slick...

Mr. Long was taken into custody on Friday, January 16th. He is in jail without bond. News channel 11 had it as it's main lead in on the 10:00 news Saturday

They got us too for $22,000. Same crew. Norma Williamson and Lewis Boullion at B and L Materials, Harold Lucas at ExxMob Canada. Very slick. Submitted a professional looking P.O. and spoke convincingly about technical aspects of welding. If we had only found this web site sooner.

Our situation is almost identical to the one described by CWI.  Harold Lucas first emailed us on 11/06/08.  Only after we got his "Purchase Order", and started researching technical issues did we come across this website which confirmed our suspicions that something wasn't right.  I then contacted Exxon in Houston directly (not using the info on his PO) to alert them to the problem.  They are well aware of it and are regularly contacted by small companies who have been or were almost victimized.

Yes, he got us with the same scam to the tune of $9600.00!  We are on to hime and have the local, and state authorities investigating him and his cronies. It appears the are still in business.  Buyer beware!

This guy has also scammed us out of $30,000.00.  He is a scam artist and a low life!  He used the name ExxonMob and B & L Materials.  I would stay away from this guy.  He is going to be in a lot of trouble when they catch him and I hope he will be sent to jail for a very long time!

Hi.  I saw your message and I believe our company just fell prey to an almost identical scam. (The company name has slightly changed) and I believe he is using a different name with B & L Materials still as his front.  Were you able to get any legal help?  I don't understand how this guy can continue to do this???

Frustated and confused-

I would advise you to stay away from Robert Randall Long of Houston or Tomball Texas.  A true conman in every sense of the word.  Its a shame that such a smart man continues to make a bad name for his family, his mother, and the neighborhood.  We live in a nice area, and wish Bob would just leave.

This number belongs to Bob Long of Tomball Texas.  He claims he operates under a company name called RLC Houston, and conducts scam/fraud/fraudulent activities against welding/steel supply companies across North America.  He has previously been charged with multiple fraud counts, possession of a firearm, drunk driving, and forging government documents.  (all this info is in the public record).  What I once thought was a smart man with something going for him is now a washed up old man, hiding behind a fraudulent bankruptcy and using variations of the names of his 3 ex wives in his fake companies.  THANK YOU 800 NOTES!

Hs full name is Robert Randall Long, and check out the long list of people suing him in the public records.  Might be wise to check with them what kind of 'business man' he really is.

We have been receiving the same phone calls , with promise of major contracts. SO far we have not been invoiced but things that seem unreal at first glance usually are.

The person who calls himself Robert Long or Bob Long is a scam artist. He fishes a manufacturing shop with big business opportunities and will invoice you with the sample materials.
