How did they get my number? This is a scam but more importantly, how did they get our phone numbers? Recently, I too made a purchase at Best Buy then filed out an online survey. I'm pretty sure I did not include my phone number in the survey, Don't call.

Received this same message 12/14 am. Googled the 281-... number and found another site indicating it's a Verizon Wireless number; spoke with them about it (since VZW is my carrier)... they disclaimed ownership, saying it belongs to another carrier using VZW's tower. Recommended I send a return text message "stop" which I did.

Got this text message today, formatted exactly the way the post above me said. I've deleted the message and hope that they don't do it again.

yep, same number. it was a text saying I won $1000 Best Buy gift card. it says go to a website: bstbywin dot com /?v110

Get this.. The text phishing scam BBB warned about (link below).. made it's way to me! Got a text just before 4AM about winning Best Buy gift cert. Came from this ph#.
Made modifications to URL & a code in order post here, but text states:
Your entry has won! Go to bstbywin . com / ?v1102 and enter code #### to claim your $1000 Best Buy gift card!
