okay, folks, I've set up an email addy and listing it below.  There are so many numbers associated with these folks, I may not be able to go through them all every month and see if there are any updates.  So, if you like and feel comfortable doing it, email me and let me know if they're using other numbers or starting up again.  It seems the posts have slowed down the past couple of weeks.  I'm hoping that means their business is getting SLOW, too!!

I'll try to check the email weekly.  By the same token, don't be offended if I don't respond to you personally, but instead, respond on the phone number pages.

It will NOT hurt my feelings if someone copies and pastes my posts to a new number (or a number I've missed) that you are SURE is these same people!

Thanks!

Glad these scammers didn't get ya!!

Now, it's time to start having fun with 'em when they call!  I KNOW you had some those bawdy marching songs when you were serving.  Why not sing them a few verses when they call back?!!

It also occurs to me that, particularly on the GreenDot/Prepaid card ?payments,? since they are apparently difficult to trace, I seriously doubt they are reporting these funds on their income taxes === tax evasion.  (That?s the way they finally got Al Capone!)  The IRS has forms for reporting suspected evasion, and even a reward form you can complete for if you help them catch the folks!

SUGGESTIONS (again, I am NOT an attorney and am NOT attempting to dispense legal advice.  These are my PERSONAL suggestions)
1-IF you decide to answer one of their MANY calls from about 50 different telephone numbers (no, I?m not exaggerating), give them NO INFORMATION.  In fact, YOU MAKE THEM ANSWER QUESTIONS, and if they don?t, hang up on them!   I don?t know anything about spoofing/masking numbers, but there have been comments that they are VOIP?ing the majority of the numbers they?re calling from.  I do not doubt this, as a person said the number showing on her phone was that of the local police department.
2-Keep a running log of the date, time, telephone number, person calling and note of conversation to file with your complaints.  (Or, try to record the call, BUT they usually hang up when they?re told they?re being recorded.  ROFLOL, now how many LEGITIMATE collection agencies would do that?  NONE that I?ve ever heard!
3-Look up your state?s Statute of Limitations on debts that can be pursued in court (that you can still be sued for).  It seems to vary from 3-15years.
4-DO NOT allow them to intimidate or frighten you.  These idiots have even called the numbers attorneys, police officers, etc. with this scam.  Intelligent, they are NOT.

USUAL PLOYS:
1-call friends, neighbors, relatives, employers, and you trying to intimidate you into paying JUST to make the calls stop (but, from looking online, they don?t stop?they just demand more). ? Ask these folks to also keep a log of the calls, give them this internet page to check.  Ask them to do a search for ANY of these company names.  They?ll soon realize it that these people are nothing but SCAMMERS.
2-??have important legal documents (or summons) to deliver, will you be home ---(day) from 8:30 to 4:30 to accept it??
3-?There?s a warrant out for your arrest UNLESS you send us $xxx TODAY?  -- they seem to prefer asking for the ?Green Dot? prepaid card and want you to call back with the numbers on back ? harder to trace where to $ goes, apparently.

This # has been calling me for the past 3 days with a threat to have a summons delivered to my house by the sheriff's dept.  I have never heard of the Cashnet payday loans they say that I owe.  When I returned their phone call to 8775887426 the first time with the case # and told him that I didn't get a payday loan from these people he got mad and hung up the phone on me without giving me any information like my social, his name, or anything to verify that it was me.  I have been scammed once while I was deployed to Iraq and it seems that they are after me again.  Even at the beginning of this year someone else called me with the same thing trying to get money out of me without have all my info like verifying my social and address.  It will be hard for anybody calling me or sending letters in the mail to get money from me.  I AM BROKE and not about to get BROKE-ER dealing with these people.  Thanks.

There are complaints about them all over the internet for harassing people that do not owe the debt, threatening to arrest people for a debt, telling people the only way they'll stop calling is to pay "court costs" on an alleged suit they filed, etc.  According to some of the MANY complaint pages and numbers they've called using, it seems they call about debts that are 5-10 years old, don't care if they were paid or not because they want money.  There are people who have fallen for this, and stated that they paid, and are STILL waiting on getting the documentation of the debt from them.  Of course, their story is that they sent it out ... yeah, right.
What's laughable is one page on their website that says they follow the law during collection attempts.  OBVIOUSLY, NOT!  THEY have an F rating with the FL BBB (see below).

By the way, it would seem to me that, IF you had a bad debt, it would show on your credit report (if still eligible to be reported).  IF you do have a bad debt on your credit report, you might want to consult an attorney and/or the original creditor, rather than these folks who obviously could care less about the law.  [I am NOT an attorney, nor do I profess to be one.  I am NOT dispensing ?legal advice,? simply giving my opinion!]

IF they were calling about a legitimate debt, they would NOT be calling to see if you'll be home all day on certain day to "deliver legal documents" or "subpeona."  A legit collector CANNOT discuss your bill with anyone else OR threaten to arrest you and/or send you to debtor's prison, etc.

Make yourself aware of the rules in the FAIR DEBT COLLECTION PRACTICES ACT.--http://www.ftc.gov/os/statutes/fdcpa/fdcpact.shtm
Here is more info on it from the FTC Consumer information -- http://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0149-debt-collection
It's glaringly apparent that these folks enjoy breaking most of these rules.

Hope this helps someone!

Got a call with no message from this number a short while ago. If these scumbags can't even leave a message, why bother? Ever since the economy tanked these scammers have crawled out of the sewers looking to scare people into paying money they don't owe. They know they're acting illegally, but I promise you they don't care. They've stolen/bought phone number and personal info from even sleazier online payday loan places, etc. who try to make a little extra cash by selling the numbers of any references you've ever listed online for anything you've ever applied for online. They hire call centers with no scruples or morals at all to make the robo-calls for them, or use their own call centers, and try to harass/scare people enough to squeeze money out of them. It would seem this number (281-404-7467) has become active again. Though based in FL and clearly violating both the TPA and FDCPA, as well as FL consumer protections, the FL OFR seems inclined to pay lip service and not much else to these folks. I have reported this company and two others with call centers in FL to the State AG's office, with no visible reduction in calls. The FTC is receiving thousands of complaints about just the companies in FL doing this kind of thing, and have not yet acted to shut them down. Our only hope is that now that the Consumer Protection Agency has an actual appointed director, maybe they can begin shutting these places down. In the meantime, continue to report to both the FTC for FDCPA/TPA violations, and I would suggest also reporting to the FBI's ic3.gov site as possible wire fraud criminals. It seems to push them back down in the sewer for at least a short while.

Yes I too received a call from 281-404-7467 the man said is name was Ron Johnson attempting to get in contact with someone by my name at my cell no., about delivering some legal documents. He said all his job was is to pass on to this person another number to call of: 1-877-588-7426 belonging to some Law Firm that has legal documents to deliver to this person he was asking for.He even gave me a case no., to give when calling the given number. I told him this all sounds more like some sort of a scam,he tryed to assure me it was no scam,  but quite on the up and up. From what I know on process servers they don't give someone a call to deliver papers, they just show up on your doorstep and make the delivery. When will these scammers ever stop all this hog wash or is there anything that can be done to stop them? If anyone has any helpful infer., you can send it to my email of: ts49478@gmail.com

Same nonsense here. They called and said they are going to serve a woman (who's not me) papers. I told him he has the wrong number and that the person they're looking for isn't at this (my) number. He instantly got irate and asked what I meant. I repeated what I just said and hung up. He called me back threatening me that he'd call me nonstop until he reaches the person he's looking for. I hung up again. He called back again yelling at me and threatening me about how he'll hunt me down and find me, I told him he the result of an abortion that didnt take......that seemed to throw him for a loop

Got the same call from this number about 1/2 an hour ago; I told the young lady that I would be waiting for the servers with the Sheriff's Deputies from my town; her reply was "that's who will be serving you with the papers".  I told her that was fine, asked for her name and the name of her company again; she hung the phone up.

I have no idea who these people are but I know that they are NOT legit!!!  No reputable company would dare give out this type of information on the telephone (lest they be open for a lawsuit).  This is a scam and I would NEVER give any type of information (personal or otherwise) to someone I don't know.

By the way, it doesn't seem to do any good to report these people to the BBB, Attorney's General in the states that they are calling from or the Attorney General of the United States.  I have done this and continue to get calls.  Just remember, don't give any information and don't be afraid of them; there is NOTHING they can do to you!

Three days in a row, now, they've called. The number is valid, because there's no signal when I dial it back. The line is simply silent. If they can't get the message that their calls aren't wanted, find out who their Phone Service Provider is and file the complaint against them. They're protecting the identity of a potential criminal - if these are scam artists - and all in the name of greed (money for their phone company). Let them deliver the message to the caller or face the potential consequences.

I've received 2 calls from this number, didn't answer either and they didn't leave a message. Good thing I looked it up. I will continue to ignore.

I'm tired of these people aggravating me over a debt that's not mine, for a person who did/does live in a city I've never even been in, much less lived or used as a mailing address.  So, I started hunting and found out a few things about these folks, so far.

Make yourself aware of the rules in the FAIR DEBT COLLECTION PRACTICES ACT.-- http://www.ftc.gov/os/statutes/fdcpa/fdcpact.shtm
Here is more info on it from the FTC Consumer information -- http://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0149-debt-collection
It's glaringly apparent that these folks enjoy breaking most of these rules.

Hope this helps someone!

As well as filing a complaint with your State Attorney General and the FTC, you can also file complaints in Florida.
Here is the Florida Office of Financial Regulation's complaint info page:

I'd suggest giving a list of time, date, phone number, and anyone's name you were given on these calls...EVEN if you didn't answer or it went to VM.

I have been getting calls from this number, along with several others, for the past 6 months or so on my cell phone. If I do not answer, there is never a message left. They never say who they are calling for, only that they are serving papers. When I ask who they want the name they give is Kimberly Walker. I've told them they have the wrong #, my line is a do not call # and remove it from their list, but I keep getting calls. After reading these posts I guess I will contact the FTC.

I have received several calls from above number for my daughter saying they are going to come and arrest her, and even one came in from the Sheriff's Department in our area.  We called them and they said these people are scam artists, my daughter had no legal action pending against her, and we were told that they somehow access the local law agency's number and use it a well as they own numbers to scame people. This was for a supposed old pay day loan she never had.  When I told the lady on the phone that we knew it was a scam, she immediately hung up.

Please note that the Company name is "G.S.A. Management" Please go to the FTC Website and place a complaint now, as these skells do not identify themself as required. They have been calling my phone looking for someone else for the past two years, they claim to be walking up to my house to serve me Civil procedure papers that may result  in an arrest. The info from JKY was very helpful as I called the 877# and confirmed the Company name and that they have been calling my cell and asked them to stop calling-Wrong person-, FYI no one there has a High School Diploma !!!!
