We have been receiving harrassing phone calls from these people for four months now Ann Kerr and her less of a genius sidekick David this time they've messed with the wrong family! We just so happened to have a family member who's a cop sitting on our couch when they decided to call he talked to them and now he's on the case does anyone have a possible address on these people I can't take this any more it's time for them to go down!!!!!

I got the same call today. Ms. kerr states she is with a company called BCMI and they worked in behalf of Southwest Water Company. Calling about a debt from 2007 from an old address I lived at back in 2006.  

Do not provide them any information. The FDCPA states you have to provide proof of debt. I f they have not mailed you proof of debt then do not pay.

This Ms. Kerr will get sued if she calls me again. Don't allow them to takeover the conversation that is an imtidation tactis. You take charge of the call and let them know you know your rights as a consumer.

I keep getting a call from 281-447-9765 (they also have another number 281-447-9779) a Ms. Ann Kerr, she has called my place of business for the past 3 days at least 4-8 times per day even after I told her not to call back at my office on the first day.  You can send a CEASE & DESIST letter which you can easily find samples on the internet by using a search web site.  Jay is right, the address is: 505 North Sam Houston Parkway East, Suite 120, Houston, TX 77060 if anyone needs to send them a letter.  BE SURE THAT YOU SEND IT CERTIFIED MAIL WITH A RETURN RECEIPT!!!!  If they are harrassing you as they are me, you can also report them to your local Sheriff's department.  Oh, also they refused to give me their Name (business and person calling), a case or account number, just that they expected me to pay some $300 something over the phone immediately.  I've already sent the letter and contacted my lawyer, if I do have any outstanding debts, I certianly do not mind paying them, but to the company to whom it is owed, not any Blow-Joe who could do anything with my money, cc info, or however else I could have made a payment to them.

This guy "James Cooper" called and said he was a lawyer and was going to sue me in small claims court. I looked up the # and name he is not or is even smart enough to know about the laws in Texas. He works for a debit collection place and he is a smart mouth punk! State law states that a debit collect company can't take you to small claims. What a j*** off. I found there office its at 505 North Sam Houston East if any one wants to go see him face to face.

I also keep getting rude phone calls from 281-763-0444, it shows up on called id as ACCATEL, I just keep telling them they are liers and to quit harrasing me. They keep asking for my lawyers phone number and name????

This lady keeps calling me from a number and harrassing me at my job.. she calls repeatedly and threatens all kinds of things.  apparently over an old water bill from a residence I never lived at.  I have said do not call me any longer, and she got hostile and violent.  This needs to stop immediately.  She is harrassing me at least 6 times or more a day.

I will definately get with you on this and get whomever involved.  This woman calls over and over again at my job, on my cell, and I have to turn it off because of her.  I have three girls and need my phone on for them, in case of emergency.. but this stupid B*** won't give up.  Tell me what we need to do.. Contact the sheriff's dept. When they get more complaints they will catch these scammers. They have your name and phone number. How many times have you given that out? Any a***ole/s can get it and ctry to scam you. If this was real and they could shut you off, don't you think they would? This is total malarky. Think could you pull this off? Its called nextag buddy. Money and a "business" name and you buy leads. Leads have name and number, sometimes address. That's all you need, well and the balls to tell someone they owe you money! Think about it.

These people are crooks. I have reported it to the montgomery county sheriff. They have two numbers 9765/9779. Completely fraudulant. Ask for the address to pay in person and the company name. If you pay you are getting screwed. Sherriff's dept. Said they will find out where my info came from. Even if it was real these collection techniques are illeagal. Report these guys to the authorities. It is a FRAUD. Notice the previous comments about how you should pay are by the same person.

I have excellent credit and got a call from Ms Kerr. I knew right away that this was a scam and called the sheriffs dept. I gave all the information that I had.

I was contacted by this number a few times in the last couple months. Knowing that I have no accounts in collections, I looked it up and after reading the other posting, I immediately contacted the sheriffs departments financial crimes department. If everyone else does this, others will not be scammed!!!!

This sounds like a collection agancy just by reading the other post. I was a collector at one point in time and collectors are bound by a mass of laws and im sure they id who they were just keep in mind a collection agent must know who they are talking to look up the FDCPA.

My mother has been victim of this so called company. I challenge all of you to join me in harassing these people. Let's just call them and ask them how they sleep at night... as many times a day as you can!

We got a call about a month ago by this rude woman. I have been very ill for months and my daughter took the call. Some of our bills have been behind due to my illness so when she told my daughter that our water would be disconnected if we didn't pay $150. right then she paid it. Thank God the real water company called for payment and we realized we had been scammed. My daughter had her account frozen and this same woman called the other day and was furious. Said she was going to file fraud charges on us. How does someone commiting fraud file fraud charges? She is loud and abusive. I was screaming at her to shut up long enough to let me talk and finally hug up on her. She called back several times and my daughter called her number and asked to speak to a supervisor, Of course there wasn't one. The last time she called my daughter thanked her for calling and said now we have a recording of you. She has not called back. These people are bottom feeders harrassing people that are having a hard time in our economy. Plus it turns out it was on a house I rented over 2 years ago, not even connected to  my daughters home.

Got a call from the number 2814479779 and then from this number.

Rude lady identified herself as Ms Kerr (I hope they keep changing their nick names :-)) and asked me to pay water bill on an old house.

Is there a legal defence against this kind of scam? I'm going to try and record the conversation if she calls back.

i have the worse credit, i owe many business's lots of money. but i only get phone calls from them once in a while. this number calls about once a month.

when they call dont answer. if you answer they will call you back more frequent. if you dont answer, hopefully they will only call you once a month.

Someone named Ann left a message on my home phone answering machine. She wanted me to get in touch with a neighbor and have my neighbor call her at 281-447-9765. Why am I being called? I hardly know my neighbor.

Caller identified herself as Mrs Karr or Kerr
She mentioned Hard water 3 case and company name Encor.
She also mentioned my case number. She did not tell what h=this case about. It looks like, it is scam.

I see there are a lot of people scammed by this same company so if you are all interested in taking care of them permanently let's do it! We need to contact channel 2 news and speak with Amy. She investigates this type of crap. Also the company I'm employed with in Houston is owned by 3 attorneys. If yall are serious, post back. If there's enough support from you I will meet with them and we can handle these idiots!

got a call from this number this morning. Ms Kerr  was her name. my husband called her back and she claimed we owed over $100 for a water bill at a previous residence we haven't lived at for over a year. Claimed the water company has exhausted all efforts to contact us and take care of the matter, have sent out several statements, etc. When my husband asked her what time period the charges were for she wouldn't tell him, and refused to send another bill or statement or give him any information on the alleged debt. She was very rude, talked over him not allowing him to speak, threatened that our current water would be turned off if this bill wasn't paid (different companies) and asked if he was wanting to pay the bill or make payments today. When he said he wanted to clarify he wasn't paying on a bill he couldn't see to validate she  hung up on him. Sounds like a scam to me. He's going to call back and ask for a supervisor later today. Probably won't make a difference. If this is a scam they are severely wasting their time, cause they won't get anything from us. We know better.

A lady call a Ms. Kerr very rude continued to call, when the call was returned said I must identify myself, that it is a medical emergency and very important!! Monday June 21, 2010 8:30 am. Threaten to call the police on this phone number.
