Says they r hpd when call but calls back no answer just rings n ring so whats really going on.

Phone number is a "ghost" much like a computer proxy for outgoing calls.  Phone will ring but never answer.  This is the Houston Police Department's Burglary and Theft Division.  Best thing is to wait for a call back or call the Division switchboard - (713) 308-0900

Talked very fast, (in english) but very choppy voice.

AS ABOVE, MISSED A CELL PHONE CALL FROM THIS NUMBER.  WHEN RETURNING CALL, IT JUST RANG (I.E., TWO TRIES) WITH NO ANSWER.

Received 13 phone calls from this number in two days... returned call but no answer does someone know anything on this number

Yeah it's HPD Theft/Burglary division. They usually call back if they have apprehended the individuals that committed the crime. Got a lead on the case or just need more information from the victim.

I also got two calls from this same number. The first one I did not pick up because the call came in  at 6 am. They did not leave a msg. The second call was about 15 mins later, I picked up out of curiousity. It was a lady asking for me by name. Unfortunately I was at work and a call came in and I told the lady to call me back. I did not find out who it was or what she was calling about. When I tried calling the number back a few time, it just ring and ring.

I read some posting on here about burglary reports.. I did a burlgary report two weeks ago, so maybe it was about that.

Don't know what is going on but it's really getting on my nerves

a man and a woman (2 calls) saying they were from Houston Police Department calling about the robbery we had reported - when we called number back no answer - We called five different police /sheriff stations - they knew nothing about this.
