Mayor Parker's campaign calling my work asking for my desceased mother-in-law.  She died 2 1/2 years ago. Why are they calling my work?  Also, this morning I had four missed calls from over the weekend.  They need to check their records, this is not a residence phone number.

Called 7 times today starting at 11 am.  Never spoke.  Called yesterday too.  Never speak or leave message.  If it political, they lost my vote.

I get numerous calls a day.  They leave no message.  When I answer, there is silence and then a disconnect.  How can I get this to stop calling--very annoying.

These calls are from Mayor Anise Parker's campaign.  I answered one a few days ago, spoke with someone and complained about the number of calls that I had been receiving and the calls have increased since then.  I received a call at 4:30 pm today and have received three more at 7:59 pm, 8:23 pm and 8:41 pm.

Get at least 3 to 5 calls a day from this number. When I answered, there was no one there so now when they call, I ignore them.

This # has been calling several times a day and never leaves a message.Other political robo calls leave message. I don't pick up calls from "Unknown name or numbers." If its legit, they should leave msg.

I have PhoneTray, and this number is on my blacklist, and it saves the number.
I called the number back, and a recording said, "You have reached the campaign mailbox.  If you want to be on the do-not-call list..."  I hung up.
I recommend PhoneTray for those that like to shut these creeps down.  It's not free, but it was worth it to me.

I've been receiving a couple of calls daily for past several weeks.  I figure it is political since the mayor is up for re-election.

Seems like every hour they call and don't leave a message. And when I don't answer my home phone, they then call my cell. Seems odd if it's a political call.

At least 5 calls a day... No message left. Very annoying. I do not answer it...same as the above comments.

I've gotten a few calls from this number -- to more than one of our phones. Finally hit the speakerphone talk button, but didn't intend to talk. Eventually, a female came on the line, and asked for me by name. I ignored it, and she hung up.

SO: I don't have any better information than anyone else, as to who called. I do know it's not a robocaller. However, the lag between when I answered and when she came on is due to an autodialer, churning its way through a database. We know it's a database, rather than a mere list, because they know who I am.

This call was on an unlisted line, but we do occasionally give out the number to commercial entities. (Pharmacy, bank, etc.) We usually stipulate that it's not to go into their database; that it's only for the purpose of returning a call, and such. (We have an eVoice phone number for databases. It rarely gets calls.)

So, it's a puzzle as to who it might be (Political sounds right, since they're calling two different numbers. They can buy massive amounts of information on various lists.), or which lists have both of our landline numbers.

We'll know for sure in a couple of weeks. After the Houston election, the calls will probably stop.

A couple of things puzzle me. Like, the mayor and other candidates regularly call our other line, and often leave long winded messages on the machine. They never call this line. Why?

Given the assortment of sources of political calls, the next question is, "Who calls?" I'm thinking it must be Ben Hall. He's got the deep pockets a live person phone campaign may need. Volunteers, of course, could be the people on the lines. But, the type of campaign is more expensive than robocallers.

I think Ben Hall would spend a lot of his own money on an operation like this. Our current corrupt mayor, having amassed a fortune while in office, is probably too greedy to spend more than the minimum possible on phone calls.

None of the other races are important enough to warrant this kind of program.

All of which assumes, of course, these calls are actually political in nature.

Got a call from this number - answered - person hung up - called back using *67 function which would not work????

I noticed one comment says political call but another website says a bank ?First National??    ***Does anyone know who this is??

I picked up the fourth time this number came through today.  It was a political call.

getting many calls daily - no messages.  I used to think I could trust local numbers to be local calls - no longer, they use a service to make it look like a local call.  My rule if I don't know the number and you don't leave a message - oh, well!

Called 8 times today within six hours.  Answered on last call.  They hung up.

Multiple calls per day, like every two hours starting at 1:00pm.

NUMEROUS calls per day, never leave a message, cannot identify with a Google search (which should turn up legitimate local businesses).  Based on other feedback, I'm blocking this nuisance.

This number calls 4 to 5 a day, never leaves a message, so annoying. The Do not call registry is a joke

I too am receiving multiple calls a day from this number.  Started about 2 weeks ago.  They do not leave a message but will call, let it ring several times, hang up, wait 5 minutes and call again.  This goes on all day. Caller ID says - "Unknown "

I get calls from them every hour or so starting from 3pm till 8pm.  Has been going on consistently for the past 3 days.  I don't answer and they disconnect after 2 or 3 rings, never leaves messages.  Caller ID says HOUSTON TX but I believe that this is a spooked ID. I tried reverse look up for 2816688117 but it wants me to pay to know who it belong to and it is stated that no spam are reported from it.  Which is why I believe they spoofed this number and ID.

Every day this number calls several times a day...leaves no message.  I have no idea who it is - I never answer.  I am on both the National and Texas "Do Not Call" lists but that doesn't seem to help.
