it is ridiculous that they use the FBI in order to get you stay on the phone.  However, I stay on the phone to press the number to be removed from the list.  I do not know if it acctually removes your number  or sales it to another company.

Called on my business cell. I do not answer calls from out of my area. If this was for a home security system, the mall I work out of does not need one.

I live in the city by few big  a house at all I ren sell them to call me I hat sell them to call me I hate scams.

The usual routine ... caller ID shows 281-760-4106 today at 2:14pm.  They did not leave a message on the answering machine.

We get call from this number multiple times daily. We indicated we wanted to be placed on do not call list multiple times. They still call continuously.

Call would not leave a message. I don't answer any calls any more they all go to voice, so I may interrogate the voice message, if they do leave them. If it legit, i return call, if no message or solicitor, if block caller.

Caller ID says "Home Security"; they usually hang up if I answer, or there's just a lot of clicking on the other end. They never leave a message. Once, I did answer and there was a guy with an accent who asked for my daughter, and said he was offering special pet health insurance. I told him she has no pets (technically, they're all mine) and she is unemployed. He hung up pretty fast. The Do Not Call list is a joke. I've added my number to it several times, and these yahoos still keep calling.

These calls come in every few weeks and I want them stopped immediately.  I have requested them to take us off their list every time they call.  I am tired of getting these calls and am inquiring as to an attorney in order to sue them for harrasment.

100% scam.

I have been getting regular calls from these criminals for years from a multitude of numbers.  They show no ID and now don't even bother to leave a message (well I guess that's a plus).  Just pure aggravation.

I didn't pick up but they left a recorded message saying the FBI reports that there is a robbery every 14 seconds your local police recommend to get a security system! we will do it for free! all you have to do is let us place a "small sign in your yard and we'll install it for "FREE with no install fee" then I was called by the
#  404-721-0540 with the same message in ONE day.

I wonder why you even bothered to answer the call when you saw the 999 AC.....Of course, if you
answer the call then the system is going to validate the number.....McDUH!

Calls come in regularly from "Home Security" from seven different numbers in the past six months, this is the fourth different number this month alone.

Does no good to report them, nothing is ever done by our "government" agencies to put an end to their harassing  calls.

'Do not hang up, this is not a sales call.' OK what is it then?

As always, I screen calls I do not recognize. They hung up on my answering machine. Scammer.

I am getting tons of calls on my cell phone now after getting first a call from 999-910-0122.  I think that number phishes for valid phone numbers and then resells your number

Female voice saying "this is not a sales call, do not hang up. There has been a burglary in your neighborhood".
At which point I promptly hung up and went online to my voice over internet phone service website and blocked that numer from calling me again

Here is where things get weird. Each time a certain friend phones me, and then hangs up, within 30 seconds a  bogus phone call hits my number. There are no additional calls reported after the call that comes to me. The other number thus affected so far is 425-486-9048.

Folks, I'll be you that this is our old friend ADT security, out to offer you free home security system. (The company uses innumerable numbers under "every" area code in North America.) The catch  -- of course there is one -- is that you have to sign up for two years of paid monitoring of your system.

I don't know what the Better Business Bureau has to say about ADT. I have copies of ads from them in coffee house newsletters, pitching the same spiel. Evidently they get a lot of business. Whether that includes renewal or first-time only is open to question. I do know of a number of private residences where the ADT sign on the front lawn might as well be a doorstop, and equally as meaningless.

I don't get why they call and just don't say anything.  Then, some clicks later.  I left it on for 30 seconds.  No hang up but silence too.  What is up with that???  What is the purpose???  they call multiple times a day!

Home security came up on the id.   Answered, male caller said not to hang up but I did.

Hang up phone call, I do not know anyone at this number.  I want them to cease and desist from this behavior.

Caller ID said "Home Security". As usual, I've been on the Do Not Call list for years.

I received a call same as Paula.  They didn't leave a message and Google said it was Crown Equipment.

Telemarketer from houston texas.

Left no message. When I looked up the number, Google said it was Crown Equipment Company. However, caller ID said "Home Security."
