similar situation here. got a text saying "Hey Bill" - I didn't reply because that's not my name. One interesting fact for me is that I have a Facebook page where I've listed my name as Bill. I've since removed my cell phone number from Facebook even though that info was marked as private (not public, not friends only)

Report the Yahoo ID to Yahoo abuse and the phone number to Text Plus

I just got a text from this number...it say "hey" and called me by name. When i asked who it was they asked if i had yahoo im and if so their id is textflirt365. I told them no and they saidwere their phoneid was abouta to die. I toldhave them toin not to ever text/call me again.

Turns out it's a "TextPlus" number, which is a number used by the TextPlus app to text for free.
Mark, mind me asking what state your from? This might be the same person we know.

Got a text from this number: "hey Mark?". I didn't recognize it but they got my name right. I replied "Yes?" No response yet, but now I'm worried that I'm going to start getting spammed.
