This is a followup from the Benefits Administration for Prudential retirement.

No reply until you speak, then a recorded message saying congratulations, you have won a free medical alert system, or words to that effect.

It seems like a legitimate company is having it's legit number spoofed by a telespammer?

This is a spam company telemarketing call.  They call as are Hewett Associates, but I have never used them, never ask for them to call me, have never done business with them and they are cold calling people. SPAM!

Legit number for Hewitt Associates processing office in Texas.  Handles many large corporation benefits, including retirement and medical.

I just received a call today from this number and it is legit for me.  The call was HR related and left a different phone number for me to call back.

Some folks say this is a legitimate company.  The call I received was most defiantly not legitimate.  It was dialed to a DID I own that has never been used for any public or business purpose.  So, it would be impossible for the caller to have any kind of business with the other end; as no one is associated with it.

This number is the generic number for Hewitt Associates, now Aon Hewitt. They administer Pension, 401(k) and Health benefits for many, many corporations. The call type below does not apply.

Caller identified herself as being with Human Resources, Conoco Phillips.  Have recently been working with the Phillips' group locally.  You can bet come Monday I'll be checking with the local phone at Phillips to verify.

Hewitt was founded in 1940 and ceased to exist as an independent entity at the completion of its purchase by the Aon Corporation in October 2010. Hewitt's operations were merged at that time with some elements of Aon's consulting arm to become a new subsidiary of the Aon Group called Aon Hewitt.

They handle HR retirement benefits for Prudential Insurance out of Newark, NJ, as well as for many major corporations.  They are a legit company.  Their home office is in Lincolnshire, IL.  But this number traces back to the Houston, TX area, so they must have an office there too.

I recieved this call from the "benefits connection" with is affiliated as a third party through my work.  Not sure what they handle, but in my case it is legit.  They are handling my beneficiary benefits that I had called them on.  I am sure they handle this stuff for many other companies as well.
