I keep getting the call and i'm in Kentucky. i ignore the call. My cell provider is Verizon and has always been verizon.  I don't ever use that number on accounts or purchases.

Been getting these phone calls for a couple months. I finally waited the message out and hit "1" as prompted. A lady answered and asked if I was interested in betting, I said no, but I would like to be removed from the calling list. She hung up, so I googled the number and found this site. About 5 minutes later, a man called named "Lou" from the same betting company. He wouldn't give the company name, but said he would "do what he could" to get me removed from the call list. Lets see if he goes by his word. Good thing is I finally got the company's phone number, and an operator answers the phone. If your having problems with these calls, I would recommend calling the following number: 516-785-2081. If they won't let you talk to someone, call back and ask to talk to Lou.

Just recieved this call today on cell phone. Just got and activated this # yesterday.  Did not answer, did not leave msg. Googled and found this.

had a missed call from this number and they left an automated message about betting on the Golden State-Utah game.  tried calling the number back to be removed from the list but the number is not operational.  seems they're using a phantom number on the caller ID.  next time they call i will pretend to be interested and try to get the name of their company from the operator.

I got this call just now, but I did not pick up and the caller did not leave a message.  I get the sports pick spam-calls from time to time so I wouldn't be surprised if it had to do with that.

i have time warner and they have my cell.  i will kill time warner if they were the ones that gave out my number

Yeah, Ive been getting calls from this number as well. I answered it one time and, It is some sports picks company., trying to sell you sports picks.  I have bet on sports online before and play poker online, I starting to think they bought my number from one of these gambling sites.

I got a call from here today.  I love betting and will answer to win money!  ;)

I have received a few isolated calls from this number - sports mouth.  I have two cell phones, one a Florida number and one Louisiana. I only get these type of calls on the Florida number, Sprint.  My other phone through Alltel never has any of these spam calls.  Something mysterious is going on........

I just got a call from this number too.
It's sports/betting related.  I've been getting these calls off and on a few times a week on my cell, and the number changes for the same set(s) of recording(s).  When they first started showing up over 1 year ago, the caller IDs were generally east coast, then they stopped for months, and I thought they were gone.  It pissed me off to the point that I destroyed a prefect good phone, a couple weeks ago.
From a technical standpoint, this represents a flawed design/or system, and an illustration of a big security hole.
From a legal standpoint, this is a real problem, I'm not sure what they're offering is legal, and even if what they are offering is legal, what to stop the next one from being illegal?

I'M IN NH AND HAVE GOTTEN SEVERAL CALLS IN THE LAST WEEK FROM THEM ALSO- I ALSO GOT ONE FROM THE 212 AREA CODE. MOST ANNOYING. i DRIVE A BIG RIG AND I'D LOVE TO HAVE SOMEONE FROM THAT COMPANY NEAR ME ,WHEN THEY DISTRACT ME WITH THEIR "CALL!!!!!!
 THEY CALLED LAST YR FOR AWHILE- I JUST IGNORED THEM- THEY FINNALY PICKED ON SOMEONE ELSE I GUESS.

UPDATE: I called my cellphone company with the hopes that they could block a number from contacting me, but they could not (I knew otherwise but it was worth a try). However, the do not call national registry is probably the next best thing.

Go to donotcall.gov and register. If the calls from this number persist after 31 days you can register a complaint at that website against the offending number. Keep a note on the date and time of the call. I'll know how well this works in 31 days.

I never give my number out to any business that will potentially spam/cold-call, so my guess is that this company abuses the use of a random dialer to make these calls. And since I answered the phone, they know it's a operative line. I expect more calls now.

Received the call on 4/16/07 at 3 p.m. EST. obnoxious pre-recorded sports betting outgoing message.

I just got called and it was sports booking like the above has said.  I hope I dont get anymore...

I keep getting calls.   I tried to stay on the phone to tell them not to call any more, but finally decided I wasn't going to get to talk to anyone any time soon.  It is on sports betting.  Please investigate this.   It is a rude in your face recorded speaking.  It is just plain irritating.   Thank you so much!  5:05 pm  04/06/07

This number calls me as well as 212-861-5937. I get these calls a couple times a week and twice today. It is very annoying. Today I pressed 0 to be transferred to the operator. After he answered I said that I don't gamble and before I had time to ask him to take me off the list he hung up on me. Wow, that pisses me off.

There is another number too 212-861-5973 I get calls from about the same sports pick. Too bad! Do not call didnt work with this. Almost been one year they call once in a while. Worst thing, they call on my cell phone.

I got this number, but didn't pick up the call. Is anyone signed up to Optimum Online/Cablevision/Time Warner? This is the last person I gave my phone # to. I just recently changed this phone number, and the only person that has my new # besides my husband is Cablevision..so I was wondering. (P.S. - to the poster who said if we have pre-paid, no I dont, I'm with TMOBILE).

I got a call fron this # today. First time from this particular #, but I have recieved plenty of calls from that annoying Sportsbook guy. I get similar "ghost calls" from numbers in the 281 and 212 area codes. I will be checking my phone bill for fear that when I tried to call the number back, I may get hit with some kind of toll charge.

I just dont answer the phone when I see the number but I have bought sports picks in the past and just assume they got my number from a bought list.

I too am getting this same call several times a week. I am wondering if everyone that is posting here is using prepaid phones? This could be a scam from your cell phone provider to get you to use your minutes.

Get calls every once in a while from this number. Same caller ID as the folks who posted previously. I have picked up and gotten the sports betting come on recording.

Some sports pick. These guys are pulling a scam by showing a false caller ID. This is the future of SPAM by Phone....getting by the Do Not Call list.

I keep getting calls from the same recording different #'s.  It's a sports picks line.  Basically a person pays a company to give them betting tips on sports.  I don't know where they got my # and am getting a bit annoyed by the constant calls on my cell phone.  there is no option to be removed from the # only an option to press 0 to get some free picks from an opperator.
