I got a call from (282) 202-1234. A guy with a very heavy Indian accent told me that he was from an "associate of your computer operating system". He told me that my computer was sending numerous error messages to their servers. He told me to look at my computer and did I see IE installed on my computer. I asked him for his information and he said that he would give it to me AFTER I went to their website.
I told him that if he was going to ask me to remotely access my computer, that it wasn't going to happen. He told me that it was the only way to fix the problem. I told him I had been an Network Admin for awhile. He kept trying to strongarm me into going to their website. I told him that I was a Comcast customer and he needed to contact them if my email was being used to bounce spam. At this point I said that he must have my email address so he could send the info there. He hung up. :-)
