Several calls in last two weeks. No one there when answering after 2-3 rings

Call back and nothing.

I was having the same problem with this number.  One or two rings and then a hangup, with no other info being left.
As noted in a previous post, this one is probably legit for most of you.  Just that they have a bad way of contacting people they need to get in touch with.  I had applied recently for long term care insurance and once I read an earlier post I understood that the calls might actually be important for me.
If you have recently applied for long term care insurance, part of the process for being accepted is for you to participate in an interview by phone with an agent of Life Plan.  I don't know if an agent is actually on the backend of these first calls or not, but I doubt it.  It appears to me that this first phone call is coming in to ask you to make an appointment to talk with an agent.  This first call is probably being handled by some type of mass dialer at a call center and when all the agents are engaged in other conversations, the dialer just gives up; only to try again later.

My husband and I keep getting calls from this number. They usually just ring a couple of times, then stop.

Thanks everyone.  I did call 800-544-4326 provided in this blog.  This is for Life Plan contracted by our insurance company to set-up a phone interview for our Long-term Care insurance application.

I shared with the coordinator some of the comments here that their automated system is calling cell numbers then hanging-up.  She'll provide this info to her supervisor.

The information u listed is right on the money.  These people will schedule you for you phone interview physical/health questions.  Their computer dialer sometimes have problems connecting will cell phone numbers.  Thanks

numerous calls from this number. My phone is listed in the do not call list in Colorado

I'm getting the same thing as Bruce and I did just apply for long term care.  No way to answer the call that quickly and they don't leave a message.

We did apply for LTC, etc. insurance.  Most annoying phone calls ever.  I called Life Plans, 800-544-4326 and told them one more call from them on this line and I was cancelling our application.

Receive daily calls since 18 July 2008.  Return call without success from cell phone.  Land line busy signal.

Just got a call a minute ago and have been receiving daily since June 25.  I answered and it seems I could hear the phone hang up.  What's up?

In my case, this was a call to schedule an appointment for a phone interview for Long Term Care Insurance which I applied for.

This would probably be a similar call for other types of applications which YOU initiated. They are trying to contact you to schedule the interview. You should take the call, or call back if they left a message.

If the call was truly legitimate business call, all the caller has to do is be courteous enough to let the phone ring long enough to let us pick up the call, or leave a voice message so we could call back if we are interested in their product, and not have their line be busy forever when we tried to call back.

Received 8 calls from this number in the past 2 days.  Rings once and then hangs up.  I tried sending a fax to this number machine gets a busy signal.  Interestingly, as mentioned above, I too have applied for Long Term Care Insurance, but have not spoken to anyone...yet
