They wont stop calling me from 284-563-6568 and 989-655-2274. The last time i told Jack i didnt have a computer and hung on him. But he called again today and i didnt answer. HOWEVER!!! I called my cell phone carrier and they put a block on my phone. So those 2 #s wont be able to call me for 90 days. And any time a new one pops up, i will keep doing the same thing.

I do not answer calls from unidentified callers. This number had called our land line on numerous occasions. We do not anwer them. They call on weekends, holidays, etc. Am getting pretty sick of it. With all the technology at the disposal of all the phone companies, in addition to (repeatedly) placing all of our phone numbers on the so-called "Do Not Call" list, is there really nothing that can be done about this? I am ill & am disabled. I don't sleep well due to pain. Some of these calls are at 8:00 am, which may not seem early to most but if you have only had 2 - 3 hours sleep, it can be extremely upsetting.

The thing I love best about this particular scam is when you do answer the phone, there's a pause on the other end before you hear any sound and the person starts speaking. This is clue #1 that whoever is calling is using an autodialer and is waiting for someone to pick up the phone before they get on the line. So if I'm supposed to believe there is something wrong with my specific computer, why would they be dialing at random until they find someone who picks up the line? These scammers, in addition to be annoying as all get-out, are also pretty freaking stupid.

Have gotten MANY calls from this number..finally answered it today. Same as everyone else has said...guy with a thick foreign accent said that there was a virus on my Windows computer. Told him that we don't have a Windows computer (ok, so I lied) and he hung up. I wonder how many people actually fall for this junk.....

They call the 2nd time from BVI. Jordan was his name and for the life of me I could not understand a word with the accent. Then he hung up. I now have his number block.

Received call from 2845636568. This is a scam that is documented on the net in many places. Man with Indian accent advising he was from Microsoft Windows tech support, and that I had a virus on my cpu that he was calling me to fix. Asked me to simultaneously hit the Windows key and the "R" key on my keyboard and type in "EVENTVWR", so he could show me the problem. At this point I asked for a phone number at which I could call him back. He handed me off to his "supervisor," who also wouldn't give me a phone number, but told me he would give me all of the necessary details at the end of our conversation. I advised him he'd give me the necessary details BEFORE we had our conversation. He jawed on and on, and I hung up.

they claimed my computer had many, many viruses. They said I'll I needed to do was sit in front of my computer and they could help me fix it. I explained I was worried it as going to make my family sick...he assured me not to worry, it was an internal virus. I was just trying to give the guy a run for his money as I assumed it was a scam the whole time. I assured him I would take my computer to the iHospital right away!!!!
How do these people get our names/numbers???? I am tired of the phone ringing and it not being an important call! But the kids are having fun answering it and messing around with the people on the other end!

Called trying to tell me my computer will have problems if I don't use their computer program to protect my system. He talked with India type accent, so I jabbered back to him with pig latin and he got mad and hung up on me.

This phone number keeps calling me and when I answer they hang up. They sound like they are from India as I can hear them talking to each other at times. The accent sounds Indian. It is a number from the Brittish virgin Islands however. I am pretty sure it is a scam but not sure how they are going to scam me if they hang up.

I have received at least 10 calls over the past 2-3 weeks, 2 calls yesterday and a call today, after I called him a few choice names yesterday and reported him to the Federal Trade Com. When he called again today, with his accent similar to the other callers, I told him he has been reported and called him a MORON and I was Not Born Yesterday that he was a SCAM the guy was arguing with me stating prove it I finally told him not to call my number again and hung up.

Just got a call from this number on my landline at 2:55 PM on Memorial Day. Caller ID said "Name Not Found" and since I don't answer unknown calls, I didn't pick up. Promptly blocked this number on my phone. Hate these scammers with a passion.

Received a second call in a single day at 7:20 PM. Caller with obvious Indian accent claimed to have detected errors on my computer the existence of which he could have had no knowledge. When told I was a retired infosec professional and computer engineer he persisted in trying to convince me that he represented a legitimate company and had access to error messages from a computer which I did not acknowledge existed. Clearly a scam intended to extract information use in perpetrating fraud.

I am getting calls from this number. When I try to return call no luck. No one answers when they call me either. Just silence.

RF is absolutely right. If you receive an unsolicited call from anyone who wants you to "fix" something on your computer, they are certainly criminals. They should be treated with the same suspicion as an unsolicited caller who, for *any* reason, asks for your social security number and date of birth, or your checking account number.

This number has called me 4 times in the last 2 days. They get as far as saying they are from tech support before I hang up on them or yell at them. I get these calls every few month. They claim they are from tech support and that they've detected a virus on your computer and want to walk you through installing their antivirus software (which I'm sure if you did, that would be where your virus or spyware would come from).
