I am Canadian but the company calling you is probably not on Canadian soil. I just got one of the calls and  did not answer as I did not recognize the number and it does not show with any name on my phone. These 'spoof' calls, as I call them, are companies, typically outside of US and Canada and they use our phone systems ( I get some of these 'spoof' calls through US numbers too) to somehow call random numbers with different products depending on who is behind the calls. I usually look online to see if the numbers show up with this kind of info and at least I know not to answer it based on all of your comments, so thanks to all who post as it means I won't be answering this number.!! :)

These people call me several days out of the week using up my cell minutes.  I have asked multiple time for them to stop calling, put me on their do not call list, etc.  I am fed up.  the next person that calls with an indian, forgein  accent and says his name is Bob, i'm gonna lose it!  I want to find who ever is responsible for this and have a good old fashion, AMERICAN sit down talk to

Just got a call from this number and after reading this, I added the number to my reject list.

Don't blame Obama. These people doing the calling are CRIMINALS, illegally spoofing numbers and could care less about WHO is in the White House. Authorities have no authority to prosecute them outside the US--only those doing business with them inside the US.

I'd like to know when the hell this ineffective, idiotic and dangerous government, who has absolutely NO concern for it's people, will not only stop these calls from happening, but make them show the name of the company they are calling from. THEY are allowed by this stupid president to call us but he does not care enough to enforce the so-called do not call registry. They called my elderly mother-in-law trying to hock illegal medications over the phone. Until and unless enough of us, WE THE PEOPLE, band together and force the government to stand up and do what they were bought (er um elected) to do, posts like these are ineffective. MAKE MORE CALLS ALONG WITH THE POSTS PEOPLE!!!!!

Just got a call

I received a call looking for another name other than myself. The lady spoke in an east Indian dialect and hard to understand her English. She mentioned that she was calling from some sort of pharmacy, I told her I was not intrerested in any pharmaceuticals and hung up. This is the info that I received on that number.

Yes, strong east Indian accents, lot's of talking and loud noise in the background. My machine picked up and the woman didn't seem aware and kept asking to speak to me, probably couldn't hear my message over the noise on her end. I hung up on the call but got another a minute later with Incomplete Data on my caller ID but before I even said hello I could hear the clamor on the other end and knew it was them and hung up again. Don't know what they are selling but the number is going through Brampton, Ontario, Canada.

Indian accent trying to sell me medicine, pain killers, anti-depressants, etc, was trying to sell me even after I told them they are shady and probably doing illegal activities.

Strong East Indian accent trying to sell home alarm service.   Very difficult to understand and still not sure the name of the company.  

Seems harmless, but incredibly irritating as they call so often and this was the first effort in actually answering their call
