They called here too but I don't know why. I suspect it was Ruby Dhalla, however when she calls me it normally says "Ruby Dhalla"....
FYI Nik, Ruby Dhalla is a member of federal parliament, not the provincial government.

Got a call from this number : 289-298-5596. It was Ruby dhalla of the liberal party of Ontario asking to vote for them. Told her after the way the liberals lied and ruined Ontario there was no way that I'd vote for them and to stop calling here!!!

I got a call just now. When I picked it up it went to a recorded message saying that my local member of parliament Navdeep Bains was about to conduct a live town hall meeting to discuss the Conservative budget. Curious part is that my member of parliament actually is Navdeep Bains. Anyone else receive that call???
I registered with the National Do Not call list here in Canada but it doesn't seem to make a difference. Here is the link if anyone wants to register as well:

We keep getting calls from this number. Once you answer, there is no one on the other line. When I called it back it I get a message that that number hasn't been assigned. It's kind of creepy.

They keep calling my house too, we don't answer. No outstanding debts for us either. Haven't managed to find out who owns this number yet, but if I do, I'll come back and post again.

Hey David,
We too have been getting calls from this number. It is very frustrating as once we say hello, no one answers back but you can hear and know there is someone on the other line. Since we have rec'd many calls from this number, we advised the 'silent caller' that the police have been contacted. The 'silent caller' hung up quickly. We were advised this number belongs to a collection agency. They are calling but we have no outstanding debt. Thank goodness!
Once we (or this post), get enough people who are upset and frustrated by this agency we would be able to take them to court for harassment and the invasion of privancy act.
