We received the same email on September 12, 2011 that others reported, only the email address was garyhossa240@gmail.com. I knew it was a scam so my email response was "We will require a retainer of $400,000.00 in cash - up front."  /s/ Prosecutor's Office.  I  work for the prosecutor but that probably did not have any effect on him.  I wonder if Gary Hossa is his real name?

I received the same message twice today.  I'm not sure exactly how this particular scam works, but I don't want to deal with any client that is not at least in my own state, unless its an insurance carrier.  We do insurance defense work and some of those clients are in N.Y., Arizona, etc.  Of course anyone who contacts you from another country, is not even a questionable potential client.

got the same message from gary hossa also a 5000 retainer by royal bank of canada called a us dollars bank draft who wants to bet its bogus

Got the same email.  I checked because I thought that the number might create some astronomical charge, just for calling.  I am curious just because I have never seen one of these with an actual phone number, but no way am I calling it.

Got the Hossa message. One of the best yet. An evolution of the divorce or equipment claim matter in "your jurisdiction" Hard to understand why any one, especially, a lawyer would fall for this scam. Maurice B

I am an IT Manager and I am seeing this number slot on our spam filter.  His email address is garyhassa70@gmail.com.  Would be nice to have him stopped.

I received an email solicitation for my law firm's services to collect a debt.  These messages are common (I get about 6/week), and usually are the infamous Nigerian scam, but this one looked fully legitimate.  Upon running the number before calling, I encountered this site, so now I am quite leery.
