Well I just recieved the same letter from the same address etc..Except the phone number isnt the same its close though.. Its 1-289-892-3756...

So what happened after you cashed the initial check?

got a letter and a check saying i had won a grant for home improvements this number was on the letter when you call its a recording asking you to leave your name and claim num. and someone will call you back.the leter is from meridian trust, inc. with the address brooklyn,ny. googled the name and it sent me to a bank that does housing loans so it was sounding good till they dont have a branch in brooklyn.and why would a bank be sending you a check from another bank? the check is from veg-oil p.o.box 1918 oakland, ca when i googled the address it sent me to a payphone project and gave me the number 510-436-8711 which is a payphone the letter says to call and ask for george hamilton (he is a actor) the bank on the check is from well fargo bank in ohio. really do wish i could win 41,000.00 but if i did then they should send me a check after taxes was taken out not a check to pay the taxes. this has to be a scam!
