I just recieved my letter and check for $ 3985.00. I knew it was a scam because the outside of the envelope was addressed from " Grey Power" with no return address. What a joke!

I got the same thing. The agents name was Frank Morris. I guess that solves the Alcatraz escape of 1962. Frank Morris is alive in Canada and scamming people. Well, I hope Frank and his buddies go back to prison where they belong.

I got the same letter from with a check for $3985. Everything the same except the phone no was 289 892-2243 .the name was Frank Morris. My bank manager ran the routing number and its for Chase bank not B of A. Same speal on the phone. I am contacting the federal justice dept. I hope they find these a***oles under some rock somewhere and put their a***s behind bars. By the way, the dip s*** on the phone had a French accent. Viv a la France. Excuse my French for the bad language.

I received the same however, mine had a Sears Financial  logo on the envelope.  And they are surely stupid. The $3,985.00 check that was enclosed was drawn on The Columbus Bank & Trust  in Columbus, GA. To the left is a PO box address that is supposed to be the mailing address for the company awarding me the check. It is here that "Columbus" is spelt C-o-l-u-m-n-u-s, GA.

I received that same exact one!! The sad thing is people do fall for it...

I got the same notification, however the number I have to call for Frank is 1-289-892-0031 - Bank of America listed with Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner and Smith, Inc.

I got the exact same letter addressed to me but inside was a check for $2985.00 which was supposed to be used to pay the IRS. The letter inside was sent AtTN: Shirley Larkins. First clue was idiots that can't keep track of the envelopes they stuff or who they are sending it to. I sure hope like HELL they catch these b*****ds whoo try to prey on the unsuspecting or people in need of money!!!!!

I received the same check from Organic Prize and Award Presentation: Organic finacial Inc. at 1317 clarke rd. London ON. N7W-3E2. Confirming that it's a Gas Station... Hahaha. My grandpa almost fell for this, good thing my aunty was there to tell my grandparents to google it. Such a horrible scam. Never trust these guys.

I received the same check and it has the logo from costco saying I won.  The check is from OCANIC PRIZE AND AWARD PRESENTATION.....1317 Clarke Rd London.....and it's for $3,980.00......I think it's from Canada.....I am so happy to come up here and find some helpful information......I fell for this once and sure am not going through it again........and the first time it happened to myself I deposited the check in my account....and next thing happened the bank closed my account down....and it was from Canada too.....thanks so much for the alert.......it really helps to put it up so we all can be aware of these psyco pathetic people.....

I recieved the exact same check today from Brookshire Brothers (Food and Pharmacy) based in TX with the bank name LaSalle  Bank N.A. Chicago,IL. The customer service evaluation form and the fake check were both mailed from Canada. What a scam!! Glad you didn't fall for it and thanks for the alert.

My husband recieved the same notification but the check is from  Bookshire Brothers (grocery chain) based in Texas and the bank name on the check is LaSalle Bank in Illinois. I will contact Brookshire Brothers tomorrow to alert them that their company is being used in this scam. I do hope folks especially the elderly people do not fll victim. I hope these folks that prey on people will get what  they deserve.

I got a check for 3980.00, called phone number and a guy read a statement and rudely insisted I deposit check into my bank account and call him back. I didn't, smells fishy and probably is. If it's too good to be true it probably is.

My dad got a letter from these people just today for $125,000. It's a SCAM, don't fall for it!

Read the other reports from the many folks receiving this scam letter. Costco logo for return address on envelope. Check written from National Auto Dealer Exchange in Bordentown, NJ. This phone# is given for claim agent Frank Morris.
