I got a call from this number this morning, did not answer it. It said, Sandy Spring, MD. OK, if this really is the FOP, they would have that come up on caller ID! I never donate anything on the phone, I tell them to mail me something with information. Most times I never get a thing, so most are scams I believe.

Person requesting donations for the Fraternal Order of Police from $55 and up. He does not belong to the Fraternal Order of Police. He also has uses another number is 1888-636-5456.

I just got a call this morning 4/21 too. I think he said Fraternal Order of Police, which would be legit. BUT... years ago I was scammed by an organization with an exceedingly similar name and logo, whom the police dept (I called them) denied any relation to. I reported those people to the State Attorney General, after the guy threatened me for not renewing my pledge. So when today's caller admitted he was not truly the FOP but an agency hired by them for the fund raising, I became suspicious, and said I would rather donate directly to the FOP. He hung up.
My motto: Don't trust anybody!!!! You can always donate on your own, without solicitations.
