I keep getting calls from a Mr. Fitzgerald who says that a relative of mine has "important documents" that need attention and to call the filing party at 877-645-7986.  He says the envelope is sealed and does not know what is inside.  Then he ends the message with "good luck!".  I called the number several times and all I got was music.  Today I actually got through to a man who said that my relative should "take responsibility and call them"  in an extremely rude tone.  I told him to quit calling me and that he was an a***ole and hung up.

I'm actually an employee there and no it is not a scam. Just debt collectors trying to do their job. If you spoke with me personally, I'm the pleasant one.

Also got a call today from a Jacklyn Davis calling from Turning Point Solutions with some story of having my SSN and can retain it to collect. She left a number of 877-645-7986 at ext 243. It is really crazy how these people do ths. I wish they would leave me alone!

A guy by the name of David called my mom saying I gave her number as a reference which is a lie.
He wouldn't say what company but he wante my number. I am sick and tured if people trying to scam others for money. I don't know who he is and I have never recieved a letter in the mail. I wish he would stop!!

Garnishment can only occur after legal process and judgement. Threats of garnishment without it is unlawful and can not be done. In some states garnishment can't be done at all, except in cases of child support, taxation and, in rare cases, contempt of court.
Demand written proof of any claims be mailed (not e-mail or fax.) to you. This must be provided, on request, as per federal law. They refuse, they're frauds or have no valid claim.

I also got a call from this number and was told to call and ask for Caroline Davis at 1-877-645-7986 ext 243.She said the compnay was caled Turning Point Solutions. She said if I don't call they will use my SSN. Is that legal? I thought only in goverment or chold supoory issue is that they can granish you wages. I know it has to be from a payday when I have made attempts in the pass they always give me the run around. If anyone has any suggestions  please let me know. Thanks

it is a scam I contacted the police.  If they are making threats or calling your job inform them to stop if they do not contact your state attorney general and report the incident.  It will make them have to change their number.  Also if you have a yahoo account change your password every month

This company collects on recycled debt. You probably have already paid this loan off and these scumbags are harassing you and using illegal collection tactics. Beware of these scumbags. If you receive correspondence from this company, record all calls and request documentation. They pose as representatives for a "litigation firm" saying they are going to sue if you do not pay them immediately. Big shocker coming next. They won't be suing you at all. If you don't pay, they move it along and them sell the debt off to another batch of dirtbags.

I took out one of those stupid Western Sky loans and have since gone delinquent on all my debts. The legitimate ones will send paperwork informing you of the debt. I am considering filing chapter 7 anyway, but these people keep calling back with new deadlines or they will sue, and they call my parents and family members.

they just called my sister's number thinking it was me. they said I owe 780 dollars from 2008. no valid credit waits 5 years to contact you on the phone after NEVER mailing anything. these people are SCAMMERS! do NOT PAY THEM ANYTHING. a real debt will supply back up paperwork. if they threaten to "send you papers" tell them to bring it on!!!

Received a call from this number trying to collect a debt from 2007. I traced the collections starting from the original lender and I found that I had already paid this debt. They are trying to collect on a debt that doesn't exist. SCAM. Guy by the name of Spinelli at extension 229.

I have lived at my current address for over 4 years. My last name is quite common, and my number is published in the phone book with only the first letter of my first name. I have been receiving the same threatening phone calls for over 4 years from this company (and many other companies...this woman must owe everyone in the Western World) and I am NOT the person they are calling, who DOES have the same first letter of her name and shares my last name. I have called them numerous times over the years and have told them, "I am NOT the person you are trying to contact. REMOVE my phone # from your data base, try to legitimately contact her, and stop blowing up my voice mail with your calls!" They assured me they would; however, the phone calls continue to come in, the most recent of which was yesterday. Timothy Cooper, who identified himself as an associate with TPS& Associates stated I MUST appear at "my court hearing, but if I could not, I MUST contact the number he left IMMEDIATELY." Like some of you, I called back and "got the music." More than feel your frustration. Thanks for reading.

yea they did this friday saying a file number and this guy named spenalli  and left me a number and saying that i need a layer  i hope they find theseasshole trying to scam people

so funny! these people just called me and i told then the accounts they were calling me about have been cleared in February through an attorney office AND i have the clearance letters...they asked me to send it to them so they can clear my account...they actually tried to collect monies from me AGAIN!

I receive the same call. But I search the name they told me representt and is an engineer company. They are a scam. I contact the FBI and report the guy.

I JUST RECEIVED MY 5TH CALL AT WORK FROM THE "AMERICAN LOANS SCAMMERS. I WAS SCAMMED FOR OVER 2000.00 FROM THE INDIAN PAY DAY LOAN SCAMMERS ALREADY. I WAS TOLD BY THE ATTORNEY GENERALS OFFICE TO GET THE"CERTIFIED MAIL AND SEND IT TO THEM".  NOTHING WAS EVER SENT GO FIGURE. 877-645-7986. REMEBER PEOPLE THERE IS NO DEBTORS PRISON. I TOLD THEM NUMEROUS TIMES TO PROVE THE DEBT AND THEY HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO DO SO. IF THE DEBT WAS REAL I WOULD PAY IT, HECK I PAID THE INDIANS AND IT WASNT REAL.

That's not what they sounded like to me...she about left a "threatening" message on my office voice mail...she didn't sound helpful at all to me.

These people have called my office number several times in the past few weeks...I typically don't answer unknown numbers and today I picked up...a woman said she was calling from TPS & Associates then said if she didn't hear from me she was forwarding "paperwork" - yeah right...she wanted me to verify my information and social...I think NOT...I told her I wasn't verifying anything unless she told me what she was calling about...she didn't so I hung up...then I checked my voice mail...two messages from her and she left this number...I'm so glad I took the time to Google it...I know I don't owe anybody anything...yet anyway - but this site is good for information...I'm glad I found it...scammers!

They are calling me at my work place saying that i have to pay if not i am going to be serve and i told then i already made that payment with another collecter and i have been trying to reach that collecter and no luck but i have proof on my bank account...

I have also had dealings with this company and another one both collecting on pay day loans.  This company didn't say anything about serving a summons, however the other company claimed that they had sent a registered letter which I had not claimed and they needed to set an appointment for their service processor to serve a summons to me.  Never heard of anything of the sort and the caller claimed she was with the county in which I reside.  I agree, if you owe a debt you should pay it but these vultures are not playing fair.

These people are a scam! I work for a law firm Debt collection law firm in Virginia. They give personal information over the phone without the debtors consent, they are not foti complient, they cussed at me over thephone when i asked for validation and are trying to collect on a non-exisetant debt that is past the 5 year statute.

THEY HAVE CALLED MY CELL# AND WORK # NUMEROUS TIMES ABOUT "PAPERS SENT TO ME"?  
I TRY TO CALL THEM BACK AND ALL I GET IS "MUSIC" ON THE PHONE.

They tried to tell me that it would cost me 300 dollars to get the proof. I pulled old bank statements and there wasn't a deposit from a payday loan on my acct and they still trying to get money from me. They told me I had 1 week to pay it and I've been dealing with them for a month now. They no longer return messages but continue to call me while I'm working and trying to get me to pay on a non existent debt from 6 years ago. Even it it did exist the statute of limitations has passed. I'm getting ready to file harassment charges against them.

They didn't want to send me documentation either. They said it would cost me 300 dollars for that info.

They called me last week about a loan they said was from 2007 the acct info they gave me was closed in 2006. They falsifying documents to get people to pay on loans that are past the statute of limitations.
