google voice blocked - thank you posters!

Their call was blocked BEFORE they even robo-dialed my office.

How, you ask???

I have the DIGITONE Call Blocker.  The Digitone blocker can block individual numbers and it can BLOCK ENTIRE AREA CODES!!!  I have the ENTIRE 301 AREA CODE BLOCKED.

They can change phone numbers but if they (or anyone) calls from the 301 area code, they are blocked!

Buy a call blocking phone or device and put these criminals out of business

Credit card lower interest, I kept them for a few minutes talking to them and told them I do not have credit cards, lol. He hunged up right away

They are a SCAM calling from a Disconnected number with a voice broadcaster offering lower interest on your credit cards.  States 3rd and final notice, press 1 now to connect with an agent.  They will first ask for your Zip Code and then the expiration date on card and the last 4 of your SS number.  Then they ask for the 16 digit number on card.   After giving them two valid credit card numbers set up to trap these scam operations, I challenged the caller for a number that I could call him on.  He gave me 855-317-7225 which goes to a generic recording to leave a message after tone.  Then he called me from a 978-578-8999 so I could get the number off caller ID.  When I called that number back it goes to a Verizon Cellular number recording saying that number cannot accept incoming calls at this time.  All the while I kept him on the phone advising that I was calling the numbers from another phone.  Finally his supervisor giving the name of John came to the phone asking what the concern was, saying there was a problem with the verification process.  When I explained that his number is disconnected and the call back numbers given appear bogus he hung up on me.   The card numbers I gave are valid numbers verifiable through credit card validation software.  Caller came back to the phone several times to verify numbers with me.  That's because the numbers are valid, however they were likely trying to complete a small charge on them only to get a decline.   Keywords - SCAM - FRAUD - CREDIT CARD FRAUD - ID THEFT - IDENTITY THEFT -  PHONE SCAM - FRAUD BY WIRE

How do we stop these kind of calls? Obviously, being on the Do Not Call list doesn't work.

This number call me approx. 7 times a day.Very annoying

They call me 2 & 3 times a day. Thing is it isn't the same number but they say the same thing. I press the one to have them stop calling me and they hang up when you say "I don't have a credit card." But they still keep on calling. The FCC & FTC won't do anything about it because they are not calling you to sell something. I have already tried that with this number and another number. They say put your numbers on the do not call list but you will still get calls anyway.

These people call at least 2x a day. Sick of it!

 A formal complaint must be filed within six months of the date of the FCC?s response to your informal complaint.  The current fee for filing a formal complaint is $200, but it is subject to change. 
I am getting them every 3 to 4 hours. I just look at it and don't answer any more. Some times it is Lower my credit card. Then again it will be a TV & light talking. Today 6 one minute apart. I asked to speak with a Rep. Yes I wanted a free in home security system FREE! I told the Guy that he could leave the security system on my porch when he post the security sign in my front yard. I think I might have pissed him off a little. OH Well! More than one way to skin a cat! Heee! Heeee! Then some times it is nothing! :/

Got a call from Ann to lower credit card interest rates.... (We don't owe anything). Caller ID said Myersville MD 1-301-416-8745. Knew it was scam like old Rachel from Credit Card Services calls. Pressed 1 to talk to someone to 'investigate/aggravate' them!  Lots of music, then silence.  I made lots of noise mimicking their music, etc. Guy finally came online and said some 'ugly words'.  I told him to stop calling and he said they would for sure keep calling!!!! Already talked to local police and they say nothing they can do unless threatening me.  Also, called the # back and it wasn't valid so they are spoofing the number!

I get a call from this number every day. I am supposed to be on the "no call" list. a lot of good that has done. I am sick sick sick of it!!

press 1 tell them you have to get your cc number put the call on mute and leave them there.  They will go away.

After blocking the previous numbers they had been spoofing, they finally got through with this one.

I answered this time, hit #1, a female succubus answered, I politely requested that she please remove me from thier mailing list, ironically I received a "arrgggghhh", FROM HER, I WAS ANNOYING HER111. Can you believeit?? Well it was the worst thing I could have done, as now she will not stop the computer from dialing me, had to block.

Message to CSR that I spoke to: Karma is comming for you, it may not be today, it may not be tomorrow, but it is comming. It will not come when I want it to, it will come when you need it least in your life. It may not be any harm to you or yours as it is not allowed to call harm down on another, but it will be enough for all the people you have harassed and you will know why it has come, for we all will get a complete feeling of peace that seems to come out of nowhere for a few minutes. Get another job, or be honest and remove people from your list when they ask you to.

a call every day since last week, when I spoke to Ann, and messed with her a bit. Now I get one to two  annoyance calls per day from 301-416-8745.  Now just silence on the other end.  The number is a spoofed number so we have no recourse other than to file a complaint with the FCC.

Buy a Digitone, and quit thinking that the DNC list actually works. Better yet, next time Sally calls, just give them your CC number because it you are dumb enough to believe the DNC list actually works, you deserve what you get.

Did you post your phone number to sell something on Craigslist and not spell out the numbers (one, two, three)? Chances are, this is where the bots got your number from, and they will never go away.

Didn't recognize number so I let it go to voice mail; no surprise, they didn't leave a message.

My credit score is too high for them anyway. I've blocked the calls.

I've now identified the number and will no longer accept calls from this "unlisted" phone

Pressing any number in response to a robocall just confirms that they have a live number. Just hang up, report it to donotcall.gov and if possible block the number. These scammers change phone numbers more often than their stinky socks.
