I got call today, says on caller id, disbution center....?  I did call back and it said something about lowering rates, it was a recording too. Like the people say, it is annoying. Thank god, I have this phone were it anouches voicewise who is calling and my phone doesn't make a noise constantly letting me know that I have a recording too. Yes...it's the greatest....

I rec'd a call but wasn't available to answer. No message was left and didn't recognize the number so didn't call it back. Sure glad I didn't. Thanks to all of you for heads up. SIskiyou County, Ca. is where I received the call.

Got the call shortly before noon CST. Did not answer. I have been part of the Target breach and also the Advocate Health System breach nearly a year ago (just info in case anyone has also been a victim).

Just got a call here in Leetonia, OH.  Didn't answer but went online to check the number and ended up with this site, I'm glad we have ways to check these out.  They never leave a message so that is pretty much a dead give away.

I just received a call from this number.  The caller stated he was calling from Miami to reduce my credit card interest rate.  I asked for a number I could call back and get the same deal because I didn't know him.  He tried to tell me his name (which I couldn't understand because he was clearly from India).  I kept pushing back to get information from him that he wouldn't provide so he hung up on me.  :)

I just received a call on my cell from this number.  I didn't answer and they didn't leave a message. I don't know anyone with that area code.

Got a call this morning.  Did not answer since 301 is not a familiar area code to me.

They just called here too.  When I saw the area code, I just hit the off button and have blocked their number.  Will be reporting them to the FCC.

Missed a call to my cell from this number a few minutes ago.  There was no message, nor have I tried to call back.  Will be forewarned should this number call again.  Thanks!

They called me, but I missed the call. Called back and it was a busy signal multiple times.

This number is being used by India based scammers trying to get credit card info in order to 'reduce your credit card interest'.  Strung them along for about 20 minutes and dropped the call.  They called back using 415-620-4312, which also is being used for google seo scams.

They kept trying to get my full credit card number.  They don't ask for the full number, but they want your bank/card-type (which provides the first 4 digits), and tried to get every number and was gracious enough to only get all but 1 number (which they can calculate using the luhn checksum).  They insisted they were from my bank, but never asked my name, even though I offered that several times to 'confirm the account'.

This is a blantant scam.  If you do reveal your credit card number/expiration date - CALL YOUR BANK IMMEDIATELY!  Do not given them ANY digits, since if you give them enough (bank name, card type, and just 11 of the other digits) they can figure out the rest and abuse your credit card.
