On Sunday, 6/26/11 around 8pm, I had just arrived home from errands and dinner. The phone rang and I picked it up on the third ring. I said hello...no response. I could hear someone on the other end, so I waited. I then heard a "Hello...hello can you hear me? "(the second one sounding a little irritated). I responded with "I said hello, you called me". He responded "I called three times, you didn't answer" I responded "Because I just got home!" He responded "You take care, Ms _______" and hung up.
I checked my caller ID and did not have prior calls from that same number as he had claimed.
His rudeness annoyed me. The fact that he knew my name concerned me. I hope he was just a fundraiser as you all say. I predict he is not going to be too successful with that attitude!

"Richard Tucker" from the Fraternal of Order of the Maryland State Police calling. That was enough for me, and I put him on hold.
He lasted about 15 seconds then disconnected.

For the past three weeks I have been getting calls from this number 301-636-5501.
They start as early as 8:30 AM until 8:45 PM!!!!
They never leave a message and I don't answer because I don't know the number.
BeWare this seems like it could be some sort of scam.
Isn't this a form of harrassment?
I'M ON THE DO NOT CALL LIST!!!!!!!!
STOP CALLING ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Received call from this number on May 31st. 12:51pm. Caller ID gave number and MARYLAND. When answering machine finished its message a woman's voice kept saying, Hello, Hello, David, David, David, are you there. She didn't hang up -just waited for the answering machine to run out of time.

Most charity calls with Police, Sherrif, or Fire Department in the name are scams. They keep more than 95% of every donation to cover expenses. Do not donate to them.

Called 5/25/2011 - Didn't leave a message either. I called them back and someone identified themselves as "John calling on behalf of the Maryland Fraternal Order of Police."
