Another user on this group identifies this number as The Washington Post. I can't confirm this because there is never anyone there if I answer it. I have them blocked, but I still see three to EIGHT attempts a day in my incoming traffic log!
This number might belong to Landmark Teleservices, an agency hired by ?Mr. Amazon? to boost subscriptions to The Post. The numbers they have used in the past are 202-754-8668, and 202-754-8671.

I just called this number (after looking at our caller ID history, and figuring out that it was 2-3 times a day for the whole week) and asked them to stop.
Yes, as other said, it's Washington Post telemarketing. They said they weren't allowed to leave a message, but yet there's no one on the line when you happen to answer it.
Getting passed the sales pitch and being forwarded to the automated do-not-call function was a bit tough. Should take 48 hours from now 02/15/2014 12:30p

This number calls multiple times a day. NEVER leaves a message. Very irritating.

This is a phone number for The Washington Post newspaper.

This is the Washington Post (or at least marketing folks for them). I called the number back, got a real person and she transferred me to an automated system that (allegedly) allowed me to opt out of the calls.

We are on the "DO Not Call" list precisely so we do not have to communicate with sales pitches for anything, and .should not be getting these very annoying telemarketing calls. How can we get them to cease and desist?

If you have the time, call this number back. You will reach a live person who will apologize but then still try to talk you into which ever circulation is attempting to get a hold of you. For me, it has repeatedly been the Washington Post. For the pure fact they call everyday I have zero interest in ever dealing with them. Tell the person you are not interested in anything even as they state it is "free" and you want to be removed from their list. You will be redirected and press one with the automated message. States you will be removed from the list within 48 hours.

This may be a spoofed number. They call numerous times a day and also as late as 9 pm sometimes. Unable to find out who is behind this number, but it seems to be attached to a robo-dialer that never stops calling several times daily. Thay never leave messages or answer.

This is the circulation department for your local newspapers (whatever that means). Didn't get a company name.

I'd really like to know if you are successful. Good luck.

I have been getting repeated calls from this number daily. Each night they occur anywhere between 8 pm and 9 pm. coming from Maryland. Since I know no one from Maryland, they will never get an answer, but it is annoying as hell.

We have several calls a day without a person on the other end. Usually around 2pm, 4pm and 8pm. The 8pm call is every single day for several weeks now. Very annoying.
Have not a clue what they want.
