Got the same call Mon, 1/27/14. These people called me last year from a different # and scared me until they asked me to send money via Western Union.  Told them I knew they were not DEA.  They said to disregard the call and hung up.  No kidding!  These people are awful and no one should fall for their scam.  Check the real DEA website-they have a posting on these people.  Disgusting scum.

Every time these idiots call and say they are coming with a warrant I say, "Fine.  I would love to take this to court."  They scream and wail.  One told me I was sure to get the electric chair.  I laughed and said "Over a $300 debt that is not even mine the state is going to put me to death?"  She screamed a torrent of obscenities at me.  I got an air-horn that I take to hockey games and blasted her ear.  I am sure this idiot is deaf in that ear now.  I feel ZERO guilt about that.

I don't know how these crooks got my number, but they called and said they were coming to my house with a warrant.  Well, law enforcement doesn't call anyone when they are coming with a warrant.  As I work in the judicial system, I knew it was a scam but I played along.  I wouldn't be arrested if I went to Western Union and sent them money and I said I didn't have that much but could send half.  The guy applied pressure for me to get to Western Union asap and send what I could.  Then I started laughing and said I worked for the DOJ and to please call me tomorrow at work.  Never heard from them again and it's been several months.  I had been getting calls pretty often but never answered, just got voicemail that I never responded to.  Now, nothing.

Called on March 15, 2013. Said they were DEA to call them back. Told them I would meet with them and my attorney. "No, No, that isn't how it works!" Credit card fine and it will disappear.  "Do you want the DEA to raid your house?"At the same time my Facebook account was closed saying I was involved in illegal activities. I think they convinced Facebook they were cops too. No explanation from them when I questioned what events led to problems with my account. You should be aware that Facebook is not secure and these people may have compromised your account there too.  I turned it over to the Attorney General's office in Iowa. Gave them recordings of the calls and phone numbers. These guys knew what prescriptions I was taking too. Did they hack medical records and or Social Security? I told the AG office that too. On one of the tapes the guy was so drugged out he could hardly talk. AG told  me it is next to impossible to catch these guys. They have a device to spoof phone calls. Ignored them and didn't hear back. Until today, December 5, 2013. Sounded like the same guy, similar story. Left a message. They evidently don't remember calling me back in March.  I will file with the authorities. I would think impersonating a Police Officer would raise some questions. But, nothing happened with my last report to the AG, probably because not much can be done.

A "so called" DEA Agent called & told me if I didn't want to be arrested I would pay so much money in "fines" to have my case resolved. It's a scam! I don't know who would fall for this but people must because I have been called before by a DEA agent doing the same thing. The DEA doesn't make phone calls they kick in doors!

I just got a phone call from a "DEA" agent as well.  Stated that failure to pay a fine of $359.00 would result in my immediate arrest.  Also stated that I was named in a court case and was scheduled to appear in NY, NY this Thursday as either a witness or a defendant--depending on whether I sent the fine via Western Union to the Dominican Republic.

I hung up and called the real DEA.  If you are thinking instead of reacting, you will too.

DEA SCAM - Yes it is a Scam.  I was called and told I was going to be arrested and that federal agents would be coming to arrest me for buying diet pills online.  They said it was illegal.  The diet pills come from the Dominican Republic "DR" and that I would be extradited to DR to face trial.  OR they would pleed to the DR to dismiss my case because I'm a good citizen and it would only cost me $2200.00. BUT they need the money NOW! Because they have the DR on the phone right now and court is two days away.  And I may need to be a witness  BIG BIG long story.  Bottom line.  They just want your money.  I called the local DEA.  They confirmed the scam.  I called the FBI and I'm just waiting for them to call me back so that I can file a report.
