Am concerned, reading  the above - received a call from 1 800 340 9610 about chimney cleaning.
Is there any more info concerning this phone number?

Got a call from the 800-340-9610 number, saying she was with Local Maintenance Chimney service, but the accent was not at all local to my region.  She explained she was originally from NY, but I still think it's an odd company name, and 215 isn't the right area code for this city either.

Call was polite, but I'm still not convinced they are real.

The number now being used is 215 466 9875 and the company number is 1800 340 9610, however your call to the 215 number can not be completed as dialed. It's cause for concern when someone solicits your business with such aggression and you can't verify the existence of the company nor the phone number being used.We all have to be aware of scams!

I keep getting calls from this number but do not answer them.  Caller does not leave any message. I went on White Pages.com to find the number and it said that the number was a landline in Frederick, Maryland.  Very often the phone will ring again immediately after this "caller" hangs up, but the second time the caller ID says "Blocked Call."  Don't know if it's the same caller, but I suspect it is.

2 calls in one day. I picked up the phone both times and no one was there, and then they hung up.

Just got a call from the 800-340-9610 number.  

I answered, and the woman after realizing that someone had actually answered the phone clicked on and said, "Mrs. Jones" (not my real last name).  I said, "uh...no, MR. Jones".

She said, "I'm calling about the chimney cleaning there at *name of my street*"  I said, "uh...I don't have a chimney"....she said, "that's a good reason to not be interested, have a good holiday" then she hung up.

Not a scam!! Got a cleaning from them yesterday, very knowledgeable technicians.

Same here, they called and ID says wireless caller.

Is there a way to report the number to the police? The caller ID says it's a wireless number. Enough is enough!!!

Called here a couple of time.  No message.  Return call to number fails

Sick of this.  Two calls in two days from the same number.

Yesterday, when I asked that they not call anymore, the answer I got was "What are you going to do about it?"

Today, I said to the older gentleman who called, I did not call your company.  (chimney service) and his reply was "Did I say you called us?"

Strange behavior and I would like it to stop.

I heard music in background and then they hang up...

Several calls from this number, never anyone there when I answer.  I am about to contact my phone company and report them as harassing calls.

I answered the call.  The caller said she was with "Local Maintenance Chimney Service."  I can't verify that any such company exists.  When I refused to tell her whether I have gas or oil heat, she hung up on me.

CID says Wireless Caller, left no message. Did a Google search and saw this site.  Good to know it's a scam.

Got one tonight.  Same as others, CID says "wireless caller".  No one on the line when I aswered.  Called the number back and got a recorded message that the call could not be completed as dialed.

I dont know if this a scam ,but I am sure its something wrong with this #

This is a scam. Report them to the FTC. Point out they use a fake Caller ID. Then file a complaint with the Maryland State Attorney Generals Office. Again point out they use a fake Caller ID. Ask about licensing in Maryland. I thinking of going to TV. It might force the State to take action.

they've called several times. CID says "wireless caller."  never leave a message.

Waited for 4 rings picked up no body there. Had call last week (dif #) to someone questioning how many people live in our house. I introduced them to Mr. Click. Thanks to these post I'll not answer # anymore.

They wouldnt tell who they were and they didnt want to leave a message

I do not trust these people also. Not sure who they are. I can find no evidence of a "local chimney services" company. Also gave phone number 1-800-340-9610. Suspect that they use wireless caller number to get you to answer.

This is a chimney cleaning scam service. I answered today and they had all my info offering a chimney cleaning for $79

I got one from this number "wireless caller" March 25 at 11:46 a.m. on my do-not-call cell phone.  Caller did not leave message.
