Don't know who it was but they said I was owed an additional 2000 dollars on my tax refund
I called the IRS and they said it was not them and the number I gave them was not a number from the IRS. They constantly called my cell phone.

I received the same message. One thing for sure I know about the IRS: If you are due a refund check, they are certainly not going to leave a message on your phone; instead, they would send it to you in the mail certified check. Trust me, the IRS know exactly where you are, and if they want you they will get you! The people who play these childish games need to be behind bars! They use the IRS name because, when most people here refund from the IRS, the normal first reaction is to call immediately because you think there is a check out there with your name on it. So that is how so many people get scammed each year and it is an awful shame. Be careful please.

I got a call saying that I was going to receive 2,100.00 extra income taxes and for me to call and give them my information but I didn't call I called IRS and the lady informed me that they don't make calls like that

Total Scam! I have been receiving these calls from other numbers as well and they say they are coming to find you or you have money coming your way, I don't even answer the phone or listen to voicemails anymore. These people need to be fined, also turn them into FTC.

They made threats to me as well when i started questioning. They started calling me very vulgar names and said they would be coming to find me.

I got a call from them yesterday saying I was owed 2173 in a tax refund and that they were the irs.

Maryland State Police will be coming to arrest them.. They're in Indian Head, MD and have made threats to me. I've notified 4 other agencies and will be pressing charges......

Caller ID showed the call was from Maryland. I've never been there and don't know anyone who lives there. Left an automated voice mail telling me I had $2,000 tax return, and I needed to call them to give them my credentials so they could send me the money. Total SCAM, don't pick up!
