I too have been receiving these calls. It started 2 wks ago with my boyfriend first and then me a week later. I still trying to figure out why they keep calling after we let them know we're aware of what they are doing. They use landline phones and Skype to call.

Says I'm going to be prosecuted for a payday loan I was given from AA enterprise and they have all the information of evidence in front of them. If I pay 750 dollars they will send me a email about it. I never had a pay loan from any AA enterprise.this is a scam!

Got the exact same rundown. the female who initially called me got mad when i told her to slow down and give information...gave me a fake addy on 3 m exeter st bmore md....of course she hung up on me and 2nd call i got the infamous chris who sounds no where near professional....good to know im not the only one to call these ppl out for the fakes they are but sad to say someone is going to get scared and tell them too much.
Please be aware of your rights as a consumer and know your FDCPA and collection laws per state.
These guys are good...and with the right know how you can trace these ppl down but they will shut one number down and pop up with another...good rule of thumb...put a freeze on your credit because obviously they are buying information from someone we all have dealt with!!!

Same as what others have said. Claimed there are 3 charges against me from bank/wire transfer. Knew last four of my social, bank name, and last 4 numbers of my account. Also knew my birthday. Rattled off an email address I only use for junk/businesses. Glad others have received same call.

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the nation's consumer protection agency, is warning consumers to be on the alert for scam artists posing as debt collectors. It may be hard to tell the difference between a legitimate debt collector and a fake one. Sometimes a fake collector may even have some of your personal information, like a bank account number. A caller may be a fake debt collector if he:
?is seeking payment on a debt for a loan you do not recognize;
?refuses to give you a mailing address or phone number;
?asks you for personal financial or sensitive information; or
?exerts high pressure to try to scare you into paying, such as threatening to have you arrested or to report you to a law enforcement agency.
If you think that a caller may be a fake debt collector:
?Ask the caller for his name, company, street address, and telephone number. Tell the caller that you refuse to discuss any debt until you get a written "validation notice." The notice must include the amount of the debt, the name of the creditor you owe, and your rights under the federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
If a caller refuses to give you all of this information, do not pay! Paying a fake debt collector will not always make them go away. They may make up another debt to try to get more money from you.
?Stop speaking with the caller. If you have the caller's address, send a letter demanding that the caller stop contacting you, and keep a copy for your files. By law, real debt collectors must stop calling you if you ask them to in writing.
?Do not give the caller personal financial or other sensitive information. Never give out or confirm personal financial or other sensitive information like your bank account, credit card, or Social Security number unless you know whom you're dealing with. Scam artists, like fake debt collectors, can use your information to commit identity theft ? charging your existing credit cards, opening new credit card, checking, or savings accounts, writing fraudulent checks, or taking out loans in your name.
?Contact your creditor. If the debt is legitimate ? but you think the collector may not be ? contact your creditor about the calls. Share the information you have about the suspicious calls and find out who, if anyone, the creditor has authorized to collect the debt.
?Report the call. Contact the FTC and your state Attorney General's office with information about suspicious callers. Many states have their own debt collection laws in addition to the federal FDCPA. Your Attorney General's office can help you determine your rights under your state's law.

This number has called me and made threats to file charges. Said that I have 3 felonies pending in my county because of a payday loan. They were very rude and wouldn't answer any of my questions. I asked that they send proof of the debt and they told me I was aware of the money owed and to get a lawyer. Spoke with a guy by the name of Chris

Does it say it is from Financial Litigation services when they call you.

This number has called several times asking for a particular person. We tell them they are not at this number. They claim to be a litigation service concerning a fraud charge,
