I have had calls from these folks, but I have not been able to find out who they are. Would you mind letting me know how you identified them as Tri State Funding and that they only give about one third of the money they collect to the charity?

Doing fundraising for Montgomery County Firefighters Association.  There's a whole crew of these guys, they get more than two thirds of the monies collected.  Better to give your money to the local volunteer fire companies or donate directly or just give some money to a bum on the street, it will do more good that way.

I got a call from "David Fox" selling Ads.  He called from 240 654 9898.  He represented that he was one of the local firefighters in Chevy Chase, MD.

They have called over 35 times in one week and I have not answered. I answered today and the guy told me he is a fire fighter with the company up the street.  Said his name is David Fox selling ads for their program Front something or another.

it's a company called tri-state funding I believe.  From what I understand, they were hired by Baltimore Co. Firefighters to collect donations and sell ads in the firefighters newsletter.
