I rec'd a call from 301-859-3945. A woman with an accent began to speak and asked did I own a ---- and identified my car. I said Yes. She stated she was calling from the Vehicle Processing Center and then the phone disconnected. Since I was not sure, I used my caller id and called back to find out what was the problem. This time a man answered (no accent) who knew my name and stated he was from the VPC and needed to ask me some questions about my car to see if I was eligible. I asked him was he from my dealership. He stated no that the warranty service would cover my dealership. I asked him the name of the warranty service and he repeated VPC. I asked him were they brokers for several different warranty companies. He said no. I then told him that I had been doing my own research and his company had not been on my list and terminated the call.

I finally got someone to actually speak when I picked up the phone. She gave her name (can't remember) but she was from the Vehicle Processing Center. I have no idea who that is - probably some company who realized that I purchased a new car late last year and they want me to buy some shady extended warranty or something.
The caller ID only said "Oakland, MD".
