Saw it on my call log..didn't know who it was..searched and found y'all ..glad you are here..can't stand scanners..they need to remember.."No good will come from ill gotten gains!"

Just got a call from this number. Unknown: didn't answer and no msg left.
I have gotten calls from "Maryland Police Assn" asking for donations. I did it a few years back but not since. The last call was a week ago and they had my information. I told them to snail mail me the information and I would give it to my husband to look over before I commit to donating anything.
I tell all the calls for donations that..They never send the info and I NEVER EVER give ANY information over the phone.. I do not even confirm the info they have on me. Just tell them to send it and then hang up.

"Working America" -- a fundraiser for the Democrats and that socialist president they got installed in the White House.  They won't get a penny from me.

If I find out that these are the same morons who faxed called my phone line several times, I will screw them up bigtime. They need to understand that my phone line isn't for scammers. But they've disrespected me several times, and now they'll have to pay for their sins.

This call came in & I checked the caller ID as usual, Unknown. Well I find that odd
since I have a 301 area-code. I didn't answer and I was on the computer, so I searched it. It sent me here. And this was enlightening! This sounds like scam non-profits
spoofing their caller ID to fool us. Money is too tight these days to lose it to phone
scams. I wish the NDNCL actually worked.

My phone rang from this number at 1:10am.

Got a call at diner time from female who said her name was Flower calling on behalf of Breast Cancer Research.

After reading the previous postings, it appears it is another telemarketing company wiggling around the law as I am on the National Do Not Call List (which ain'r worth a flip!).

got call from this same number saying he is representing Homeless Vets. Definitely not calling for police this time!

Came in on 10/26/09 as "unknown".  Said he was from an organization to help homeless vets.  He hung up when I asked him when was the last time I has donated to this organization.  I called his number back and someone picked up and hung up without answering.  then it was busy for the rest of the night.

301 is a Maryland area code, but the call was from some Alabama Police Organization. When I answered, he said my name just like a friend would say your name and started in on his spiel. The caller was so difficult to understand because of the static. I asked him if he was talking on a walkie talkie and he said he was calling from the next town. He asked if I graduated with him in Sylacauga, AL. No, I told him. He told me he talked to me last year which he did not, and asked me if I was staying out of trouble. He rattled off my name and address which was unnerving and asked if I still lived there. I told him I didn't want to donate this year and hung up.
                                                                                                                                                  Are these Police charity calls legit? Why the need to have a Maryland area code, do they make their solicitors use their cell phones, are they spoofing a number, or are they calling out of Maryland soliciitng for all states' police funds? Creepy! I get so many solicitations from AL Police, so what I do is, when I see an unknow number I usually check this site, it there is a comment, I ignore the call, then program the number into my phone as Police and then put it on no ring. This time, I was fooled by the non AL area code. Most calls come from 256, 251, or 334, all AL area codes.
